The media could not be loaded. I have been exposed to punching bags all of my life. These have ranged from leather water filled modern variations, to the ancient taped up hard bags that were at the old dojo that had been standing for many years. Now that I am older and nearing forty I do not need to be super intense about the kind of bags used and now prefer safer options with softer bags that will no damage my hands. I play multiple instruments which are very important to me and require the preservation of my hands. With this neat take on the long bag I can now mediate what goes inside it, which includes the kind of material as well as the weight. There will be no sand going in this one but rather older clothes and pillows. This bag is not only great to soften up what you hit but also you can hang it from a beam in an apartment or other area that does not have a main beam or metal beam to hang it on. To clarify when I say beam I mean an already mounted bracket that you will have to purchase separately. One thing I will point out is, you will have to have at least thirty pounds in the bag, or else you will have to clamp the hooks ounce they are hung. This is because they will fly off due to not having enough weight. I initially thought I could put fifteen pounds in it and found out I needed double that to weigh the hooks down enough to stay in place. I had fun with that learning experience and feel this bag is a fully realized design therefore granting this a five star rating. I like the blue and black color which looks nice in my gym area I am forming in my apartment. The material of this is of a fabric rather than a leather based approach. This is nice because you can clean it easier making it compatible with current enhanced cleaning of athletic areas if this is being used in a gym. In conclusion I am very happy with this bag and recommedn it for all ages. ... show more

This is great to fill with rags, old clothes, whatever for a simple as needed bag. You can empty it when you don't have room to store it. Sand bags are more permanent and hard to store and move around. But that makes these also light. Good for kids and also if someone is on the other side to help give some support. ... show more

Every guy needs a heavy bag! Mine hangs in our loft apartment in Philly. A second home, the loft is decorated in a mix of IKEA, antique signs, and early Funk.
