These fences were very disappointing. They felt cheaply made and flimsy, which made them difficult to set up and not very durable. Definitely not what I expected for the price. Would not recommend.

I ordered this as a barrier to keep the little grandkids from playing with the ornaments on the tree. It was easy to put together. It’s a little flimsy, but does the trick, and looks cute. We have expanded it as needed when we add presents under the tree. It was worth the money for us.

These things are cheaply made. The plastic is thin (I think you can see through it in places). They snap together easy enough but at each joint, be careful, it’ll feel like you’re about to break the posts at worst, or the the snap interface at least. I managed to build 9 feet of this without breaking any of them… but when moving it around (gently I might add), one of the little swivel joints busted for good. This comes unassembled and you’ll have to snap all the pieces together. These also won’t stand up well on a hard surface. Carpet is a must if you want it to be freestanding. Otherwise on a hard surface you’ll need to make it a freestanding shape. This fence won’t defeat your pets or your children. It slides on hard surfaces. That said - this may still be a good purchase for you if you want it for looks (it’s a unique height and does look good - especially from a distance), and don’t mind treating it gently. I would buy this again, but you definitely get what you pay for. This is a cheaply made product and I’m sure there are better ones out there. All that said this will fold up easily, store in a compact manner, and I like best of all that you can buy it at various lengths.

This year we acquired three mischievous kittens who totally terrorized our existing tree. We replaced that tree with another beautiful tree and didn't want the kittens to ruin it too. So we put the little fence around our tree and ran ribbon through the slats that matched the ornaments on our tree. We put stuffed animals inside the fence to stabilize it. It has been a great deterrent to keep the kittens out. Originally, I thought the white fence wouldn't look very Christmassy, but everyone who sees it tells us how cute it looks. I'm so glad we bought the fence.

I am pretty disappointed in this fence. Unfortunately I didn't build it in the 30 day return window so I have to keep it. It is not that tall (my mistake) and it not sturdy enough to keep a 3lb Chihuahua from pushing it back or knocking it over. So she can still easily get to the tree.

I have a new puppy that is a bit of a chewer, and I’m very fond of my Twinkly tree. I needed something to keep Puppy from getting under the tree that would also be kinda cute. This doesn’t feel cheap, went together quickly, and doesn’t detract from the tree. To stay along the outer edge of the bottom branches, I didn’t go across the back wall, so if you aren’t up against the wall or have a very wide tree you may need another set.
