    • I'm very happy with it.
I've been wanting to try a stationary bike for awhile. I enjoy the ones at the gym and it's far less pressure on my knees than other cardio equipment. I received this one 2 days earlier than expected. I couldn't wait to put this together and try it out. I took my time to make sure I didn't mess anything up. It's super easy to put together. I've been riding it everyday since I've gotten it, so about 2 weeks now. I can easily watch a movie while I use it. It's really quiet. The more tension you put on the wheel the louder it'll get but so far it's nothing that'll interfere with watching your favorite movie. I kept seeing a lot of complaints about the peddles breaking. So far mine has worked perfectly. I don't know if they're just applying so much tension on the wheel it breaks the peddle or if they're standing while peddling. Maybe both. I don't plan on competing in a race so I have no plans on putting that much tension on the wheel. I'm an average dad just trying to stay more active. So far this bike has exceeded my expectations for the price. My only complaint is the seat. I can ride the bikes at the gym for 30 to 45 minutes with no problem. The seat this bike came with had me dying to get off of it by 15 minutes. For the price I can't complain too much. One day I was picking up groceries and swung by the biking isle to pick me up a more comfortable seat. It makes a world of difference! More than likely you'll want to buy a replacement seat as well. I spent forever comparing stationary bikes on here. And the longer I spent, the more confused I was. It seemed like every model had a number of negative reviews. This one seemed like a good balance across price, reviews, and features, but I was still skittish to pull the trigger and buy it. So I'm happy to say that I'm really impressed with this bike so far. It feels solid, sturdy, and professional gym-grade. I like that it has wool brake pads - I was initially leaning towards magnetic resistance until some reviews convinced me that this wool-pad style offers stronger resistance, which is essential. (Just get a can of special silicone lubricant spray to help preserve the wool brake pads, like other reviewers and Q&A answers here mention. But don't buy that from Amazon - you can get it from your local hardware store much cheaper, in the $6-7 range. And if using this kind of lubricant sounds sketchy, Google it - you'll find that the manufacturer's website mentions it specifically.) But I'll admit that I don't use this as often or as intensely as others. I only use it maybe 2 times a week, and sometimes just for light activity while I'm watching TV. I'll try to update this review if I do encounter any issues or breakdowns in the future. Others complained about the seat. It's not terrible. It's not ultra plush or the most comfortable bike seat ever, but it's not a torture device either like some reviews made it out to be. And I really like the digital readout functionality. That's big for me, and makes it feel a lot more like a machine I'd find at a gym. The pulse sensors are a nice plus, too. My only complaints with the digital screen are that I can't figure out how to get it to stop cycling between readings (time, distance, etc.) I'd prefer it if it just stayed on whatever reading until I hit a button to advance to a different reading. I think that's how a lot of gym machines work. But it's been an eternity since I felt comfortable going to a gym so who knows if I'm misremembering. And I'm usually most interested in one specific reading at a time (like total time), instead of having to stare at the screen for a minute straight until it cycles around to the thing I'm interested in again. Also, the screen continues your timer from whenever you were on the bike last for some strange reason. It'd be better if it just defaulted to starting a new timer if you've been away from it for long enough, instead of requiring you to manually reset it. But these are all minor gripes. And in this price range, any digital readout is a plus. All things considered, I don't have any regrets about choosing this bike. ... show more

Had this for over a year now. Works great. My only gripe is that the digital display has no backlight and can be very hard to read in certain lighting.

Very solid build. Took about an hour to assemble including removal from carton. Got it delivered inside my door since it was heavy and we have steps. I'm 6'3" and have no problem using it. Friction pads work well enough. I researched before picking this model and there were no ugly surprises. The belt is pretty quiet and the display is fairly helpful as well. ... show more

    • Not really happy with it
The seat is very uncomfortable, had to buy a new one. Display is way too small and hard to see while riding. Handlebar only adjusts up and down. Should be able to adjust the tilt. If it wasn't so big and bulky, I would return it. But I will deal with it.

    • Bearings for the pedal pulley shaft had to be replaced
After a few months of use, it started making a popping sound every time the pedals completed a rotation. I tore-down the pedal pulley area and found that one/both of the bearings for the pulley shaft had started to go bad. After looking at the replacement bearing part number, I discovered it was a common bearing part number, so I ordered a Timken (good quality) replacement set of bearings to replace them with, and it’s been working well since then. ... show more
