  • Inseam is key to comfort.
I am writing this AS I AM RIDING THIS BIKE. And so far, so good. I purchased this a while ago, and as some things happen with health and fitness when you're trying to lose weight you procrastinate and maybe let it sit too long. Well, about a week ago I said NO MORE. I had a baby last year and ate like crap for the following year, gaining 10 more lbs on top of the 15 I gained from the pregnancy, giving myself a whopping 25 lbs of extra weight. So having lost 5-7 lbs from dieting alone for 2 weeks, I hopped on this bike 3 days ago at 158 lbs and 5'5". I have a 38" inseam and that means of my 5'5" I have pretty long legs and a short torso. At the bike's lowest seat height I am very uncomfortable and my knees are coming up way too high into an acute angle. At the second to lowest seat height is where I hit my stride and my legs don't go lower than a 90 degree angle, perfect for riding. Sometimes if I want to be less harsh on my knees, I will go up one more notch in height, but this is when I start having discomfort/issues with the bike seat. It's not any less uncomfortable than my regular bike seat at that comfortable notch, but it's very uncomfortable when I go any higher. So ladies, my thoughts on everyone posting about who at what height will be comfortable on this thing, it's more about inseam than height. Anyone with a 36" or taller inseam will do just fine with minimal discomfort. Other than that, this bike is VERY easy to put together, the tools are included. Took me 20m. It's super light weight, and folds easily and rolls smoothly right into our coat closet in the entryway. It is also whister quiet. Seriously, my husband snores louder than this thing. For what it does and what it is, a super easy and compact exercise bike that gets you sweating, I give it a 5/5. ... show more

  • Amazing value for great product
I was hesitant to purchase this bike because the price was so low - wouldn't it just be a rickety piece of junk? No it's not!! I wanted a simply folding exercise bike for my crowded den where I watch entirely too much TV. I figured I'd make better use of my time while watching TV - ride a bus Ke rather than sit on the couch. But I needed something compact and able to be folded and put out of the way. This bike fit the bill on all counts. It's sturdier than I could have imagined, and smooth and comfortable and quiet. Yes, I said comfortable. The orientation of the seat and pedals and handlebars made for the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden, even the pricey gym models. It has no bells and whistles - the display module is very simplistic but tells you what you need to know. One of the best features is the back rest - this doesn't seem to be like the true recumbant bikes where your legs are out in front of you as you pedal. This seems to be more of a hybrid but gives you good positioning and a decent seat and the backrest really improves the comfort. Regarding assembly - I found the instructions lacking, confusing and not useful. I ended up using the "exploded diagram" and putting together based on that. It was all pretty logical. The instructions said to review your parts list with your parts before assembly. I immediately noticed that the pack of bolts and washers didn't have the "correct number" of pieces as was listed on the parts list. However, I realized after a while that some parts were partially assembled and so the bolts and washers were already installed, which accounted for the count discrepancy. I had great trouble at first with the pedals not screwing in completely and they kept falling off. I had misread the pedals section in the poorly detailed instruction guide and I had the pedals on the wrong sides. Once I oriented them correctly, the pedals screwed on completely and all is fine. You could risk ruining the threads by getting this wrong, but luckily I didn't do any damage. Don't hesitate to purchase if you need a good basic bike that stores easily. Don't let the low price scare you off - it's a great bike!! UPDATE - this gel seat cover fit this bike perfectly - Velo Gel Tech Bicycle Seat Cover (Large). Helps with comfort while riding! ... show more

  • Decent for the price
This bike ended up being a lot better than I anticipated. It's easy to assemble, although when I opened the box and saw the diagram with all the parts, I did get a bit overwhelmed by how many different components there are to the bike. But overall, it's not too bad if you take it step by step like the manual advises you to do. After assembling it, I got to test it out and thought it was nice enough. It's collapsible, so it takes up very little space against a wall or in a closet. It's also really quiet, so it won't be too distracting if you use it watching TV or listening to music. I'm about 5'7" with long legs and have no issue with the pedals on the lowest height setting, but I feel like if I was any shorter, it may be harder to reach them. I did get a silicon seat cover for the seat and even with a cover to help with the hardness of the seat, wow, it is so insanely uncomfortable. I know bikes aren't supposed to feel like a cushion, but I'm constantly shifting back and forth to avoid how awful this seat feels. My only real issue with this bike is the sensor. Maybe this is just mine, but that the little tab on the back of the sensor that secures it to the bike bends easily and will always be a little loose because it started getting a weird crack in it. Overall, it's a good bike that serves its purpose. Not the best, but definitely not the worst, by far. ... show more
