I’ve lost count of how much SUNLU PETG I’ve bought. It’s been very consistent and reliable for my 3D printing projects with good layer adhesion and print quality. I do live in Utah where it’s dry, which probably helps, but I’ve had great results with this filament. It performs right up there with Bambu Lab filaments for me, and I’ll keep buying it.

UPDATE: Sun Feb 22: First print straight out of the package, did not dry filament. No post processing: what a great filament. Printed on Prus CoreOne with generic PetG profile and variable layer height. The Sun doesn't lie, however. The color of green is grayed, chalky, and not like the advertisement at all. This is not about my monitor. This is not the rich deep green Sunlu advertises. If Sunlu fixed their advertising images it would be great. There is a place in the world for the green they are selling. It would just be nice for the consumer to know what they are getting ahead of time. Moving my rating up from 3 to five, because at this price and quality, I can afford to experiment, now that I am aware the colors may be off. Will update again and post good pictures of the colors as I find them.

WARNING for Anycubic ACE users: The filament is rougher to the touch, almost feels like CF. Anyway, whatever it is doesn't work well with the Anycubic ACE. It didn't like sliding through the tubey tubes and made the ACE grunt like he was sittin on the terlet after eating a wheel of cheese. No issues printing, it was just issues when trying to change colors. The filiment did not want to go. I had to remove the 4 way thingy at the head and straighten out the PTFE tube a little so it would slide out. It had some grippy grip. The color was good. I did thick and thin prints. It glows a white/yellowish color. Not crazy, but fun, when its not wrecking your shiz.

I have had nothing but great prints. I put this up against a print I did with another popular brand PETG, and the Sunlu was so much more smooth, not showing the layer lines. I am using this on a Prusa Core One with a diamondback nozzle, printing on the lower part of the temperature spectrum (due to diamond back nozzle having highest heat transfer efficiency).

This carbon fiber PETG filament is a solid choice if you’re printing functional parts that need better mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and a clean, matte finish. I’ve used it for brackets, tool holders, drone frames, and small enclosures—and it performs well once dialed in. Print Settings & Setup Printed on a Bambu Lab A1 and an Ender 3 S1 Pro, both with hardened nozzles (you must use a hardened steel or ruby nozzle—this filament will destroy brass). I settled on: • Nozzle: 250°C • Bed: 85°C • Speed: 40–60 mm/s • Cooling: 50% fan or less This stuff has excellent bed adhesion on PEI and textured plates, minimal warping, and it doesn’t string nearly as much as pure PETG. The carbon content seems to stiffen the filament and reduce oozing, which is a big plus. Print Quality Surface finish is where this filament shines. The carbon gives it a nice dark matte texture that hides layer lines extremely well and feels professional. Parts look much better than glossy PETG and don’t show fingerprints or shine. Great for camera mounts, RC parts, or anything visible. Strength & Durability Stronger and stiffer than standard PETG. Parts flex less but can still absorb some impact. It’s not quite as tough as pure nylon, but far better than basic PLA or PLA+. Carbon fiber helps with dimensional accuracy—parts don’t shrink or deform during long prints. Pros: • Matte finish hides layer lines • Stronger and stiffer than regular PETG • Less stringing and better overhangs • Great dimensional accuracy • Good thermal resistance and chemical durability
