I read the reviews regarding the unit not staying on, cutting off after a few minutes, and I did not believe them. I trusted Sunbeam to be a quality product. It warmed up fine on high heat, until it decided to shut off after about 10 minutes. ... ?! The pad and wrap around cuff are impressive, but the control is cheaply made, unlike the other Sunbeam controllers I’ve seen. Terrible. It also has a flimsy feel to it. The buttons all light up with the same color and the 2 hour auto shut off is always lit up (that should light up after the 2 hour shut off). Sunbeam cutting corners on the controller was a very bad decision to an otherwise great heating cuff. I will need to return it. I am currently using the Creatrill Hand Heating pad for my elbow, also found on Amazon. Now that works fantastic, even comes with a remote timer (15, 30, 45 60).

Love it! I’ve had knee pain for a while now and it seems to be getting worse (probably should get check by a doctor, I know) and I’m looking for alternative to taking pain reliever. I ordered this about two weeks ago and have used it a few times since. I’ve only used the heat therapy but I love it. It definitely helps with relieving pain and is so simple to use.

I have hand issues...looking at surgery soon...even though this doesn't say anything about use for your hand ..i need to say...this is incredible for my hands...as well as knee...elbow.. and whatever my raggedy old lady joints need...wonderful product...going to buy another one

I injured my knee and needed to ice it several times a day. Working in a school made that difficult. I found this joint ice/heat wrap on Amazon and purchased it----It is WONDERFUL!!! I have only used the ice pack feature but it is very convenient to carry back and forth from home to school and I can strap it and continue with a normal day. I just wish I could order extra gel packs so that I have a back up always frozen in case of need. I loved this so much I purchased one for my Father and he also Loves it.

LOVE. This thing works wonders for the osteoarthritis in my knee. I only wish the coverage was a little larger...an extra inch on each side would be great. Otherwise, great heating pad and I love the ice option.

This the best on the market for legs, knees, arms, etc. but to save pennies the cord between the controller and the heating pad is 4-5 feet too short (fine for an ice pack where electricity is not required). To understand this you need to know the cord between the controller and the pad is just 2 feet long. That results in the controller going to bed with you if you are laying down and the pad wrapped around your knee. There is no way a person can put the controller on the nightstand of even on a chair beside the bed. So you might say, well that is OK, but it is not. The control button is large and easy to press and if you aren't careful you will be accidently turning it to a higher temperature or even off, or possibly putting the heat on when you have an ice pack inserted in the pouch. There needs to be at least 5 feet more of wire between the controller and the pad. Saving pennies on 5 feet of wire drops the product rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. Someone didn't think the cost saving through. The other minor problem is the heat is marginal. Setting the controller on the highest setting is barely the right amount of heat. I would prefer that heat to be on the medium setting. It is just OK on the heat and I would not deduct a Star rating for that feature. The straps, materials and design are superb! Just add some more wire. It is like having the starter switch for your car under the hood or having your home light switches on the floor or ceiling.
