  • Pump is crap! But pool is sturdy and fun
Color: Dark Herringbone
The pool and quality are good, especially in 115 degree heat in Bakersfield, CA. 3rd year now putting up the pool. We love it, BUT the pump is garbage and the company has to fix that. You do have to invest in a cover and chlorine tabs otherwise it will be an algae slimy mess. You do have to replace pump filter OFTEN. Cheap filters on Amazon 10 packs. Water comes up to my twins just below hip level at 9 years old. I believe it's around 2400 gallons. Ladder is very sturdy. Make sure you put a tarp underneath and pull out pool as you fill on a flat surface. Clean daily with a pool brush and net. Set up is easy but you have to adjust as it fills. Make sure completely dry before storing for winter ... show more

  • Perfect for our patio!
Color: Brown Basketweave
We bought this knowing that we wouldn't put it on grass or sand. We have it in our covered screened patio on concrete flooring. It was simple to put up, you just fill it up with water and inflate the top, which took a fem minutes. As the water filled the pool and we could straighten out the floor, it became increasingly harder to do so, without causing wrinkles across the opposite side, so we eventually stopped and just let the water sort of straighten out the wrinkles on its own and that seemed to work. However, once the pool was filled, which took about eight hours, we noticed a small amount of water coming out from under the pool. Now mind you, not enough to make us pull the plug and try and find the hole, but it is definitely leaking somewhere. I opted not to release the water and try and find the hole, cause I can live with the small amount that is coming from under the pool. The ladder was a bit of a challenge. The filter system was easy as pie, just plug and leave it. So far, I am very happy with our pool and it is deep enough that my wife and I can sit on the floor and cover most of our body to stay cool. I wouldn't recommend putting this pool up in grass or on sand, only because keeping perfectly straight would be the biggest obstacle. However, if you are prepared to level the sand area, I would say you can achieve a stable pool. If I had to purchase this pool again or recommend it, I would. With that being said, we have only had it less than a week, so perhaps as time presses on and season goes into full swing, and the use increases, I might amend this review. ... show more

  • The Pump Sucks
Color: Dark Herringbone
The pool itself is fine. The pump however is worthless. once you open it to change the filter it will never seal again and will always leak even when on.

  • So good that now I have to have a pool every summer and I don't know how I feel about that.
Color: Brown Basketweave
This pool is so ridiculously good that now I am stuck with having a pool for the kids every summer because it works so well and won't get a hole. I have an 8-year-old, a 6-year-old, and a 4-year-old and they spend hours in this every day. Their swim teacher says they are improving in their swimming every week and I don't know how because it is only 15 feet across, but again, yet another reason why I have to have this every stinkin' summer now. I used the Intex filter from last year's 10-foot pool instead of the one that came with it. You will need to add stuff to your water regularly for this size of the pool, but if you take a cup of your pool water into any pool shop they will get you set up with ingredients and a routine and you don't have to invest your intelligence into it. Also, get a pool cover and skimmer net right away. I hate doing all this but even I have to admit that there is a certain satisfaction about accomplishing clear and fresh-smelling water even after months of use. Let me also fill you in on the final tip. Tell the kids that pool time is parent time and they just simply are to show only each other their impressive breath holding, floating, mermaid imitation, and dolphin leaps. They aren't allowed to say. "Mom mom mom mom look at this!" except at strictly designated intervals between cups of your chilled beverage. This almost makes it worth it. ... show more

  • Don't bother with Summer Waves/Polygroup
Color: Dark Herringbone
That's for this pool or in general. Absolutely nothing out there is made for this brand, and its own website is constantly out of replacements or accessories. Or if they have something, they're extravagantly priced. This pool started out as OK. Knew what I was getting into and not expecting the world. The pool describes a ladder included. That did not happen. We reached out and they refunded $100 so we could order one, which we did. Fine. No real complaints there outside of the minor inconvenience. After setup and being filled, you get about a week's use of it, and that's simply because the filter is not adequate. This pool ranges from 2,400-2,600 gallons of water. The filter included is rated, but most likely does not actually move, 600 gallons per hour. Within a week, even after applying chemicals, algae began building up quickly. Simply put, not enough water moved through the system to properly filter it out. Here's where the money pit and problems begin with Summer Waves. You absolutely HAVE to buy a filter that moves at least 1500 GPH. Summer Waves does not have anything - either to purchase or actually in stock - that moves that much water. So you have to go with Intex. By design, Intex and Summer Waves/Polygroup are vastly incompatible. Hose and hole diameters, inlet/outlet orientation, you name it. Nothing just works. Fine, competitors don't want you easily swapping out parts with another, but you have to buy this adapter or that hose or whatever. The pool works, when you have all the things needed, but if you're going to buy a smaller, above ground pool like this, just go with Intex. It might be more expensive, but the conversion headaches and readily available parts from them will alleviate a nightmare of a season-long search of getting what you need. ... show more
