Used this on a front strut mount for a Ford Focus ST. It did comply. Barely. Held in position with a long 19mm wrench and gave 'er with a 17mm ratchet until it wouldn't move anymore. there isn't much travel that this provides, to be honest, but it was enough to get the work done. The threads were binding, the metal looks like I was chewing it up a bit... This piece will find its eternal repose in the scrap bucket after this job, BUT, for the price? It did its duty. I imagine your situation will be the same. It's not made of tool steel, but if you're doing one set of struts, this will get you there.

works well just not idiot proof. you must counter hold the spreader with 17mm wrench or it slips out.
