I highly recommend this auger, it is fantastic and well worth every penny! We have about 10" or so of ice on all the local lakes. I've been drilling an average of 30 holes per trip and still have 2 bars left on the Battery.

What a time saver! Saves on the back and arm muscles too! We've used a manual auger for years but as age catches up with us, we needed help with drilling those holes. You may find yourself drilling far more holes than you need since it is so easy to use. It cut thru 2 feet or so of ice with ease and cut over a dozen holes on one trip with plenty of charge left to do many many more. Well worth the investment. Wouldn't you know it no ice end of Jan. In upper NY. Would love to power this bad boy up. I know the weight is no problem with this ice auger just taking it out of the box was a relief, it's so dam light... Can't wait for ice..........

    • Battery DOA (dead on arrival)
Once auger arrived I unpacked it and kept battery in a warm place for several days. It would not charge even though I followed the directions perfectly. Other reviews are reporting battery problems which seems to be an issue. Very disappointed. Looks good but does not work. Returned to Amazon.
