  • The Only Good "Off-Brand" shanty.
Style Name: 8 Person Insulated
Right out of the box I was impressed with the the quality. It comes with a decent bag for storage. The storage bag is large enough to get the shanty back into easily. The insulated fabric isn't as thick as some of the other more expensive brands but it is definitely functional. I spent 6 hours on the ice in -15°F weather with a little buddy heater and was so warm I had to take my coat and bibs off. The addition of foam floor mats would make this comfortable down to -25°f. The fabric itself seems to be pretty durable. Setup was very easy. It took myself alone about 5 minutes the first time. On the ice with 2 people took about a minute to setup. Take down was also very fast and simple. There are 2 doors and both have large zippers that appear good quality. It has windows all around with removable/replaceable clear PVC sheets. The weight is manageable to carry at about 50lbs but a sled is recommended. The handles on the bag are not designed for backpack use. You have to carry it like a suitcase. At the time of purchase I paid $370 and cannot recommend a better ice shanty for that price. 10/10 would buy again. ... show more

  • Perfect Overlanding Tent??
Style Name: 8 Person Insulated
I used this as a regular tent, and it's phenomenal! It keeps heat in so well! After only a few minutes with my Mr.Buddy Heater, and it is scolding hot inside. I can set it up myself, although difficult, it is possible. The frame is crazy strong and handles high winds without using any stakes. My friends tent flew away but this thing surprisingly aero dynamic. The thermal insulation feels like a really thick moving blanket. I'm 5'9" and i can only stand up straight at the center of the tent. I was able to setup my coleman cot bed inside and I would say you can fit 2 with room left over but definitely not 3. If you're actually using it for ice fishing, you can fit 4 adults comfortably with light gear. One thing I really hate is the packaging. The bag it comes with isn't as thick and durable as I would like and not to mention this thing is huge! Kinda looks like your hauling a dead body inside a huge duffle bag lol. ... show more

  • Pleasantly surprised. High quality at a discount
Style Name: 8 Person Insulated
Very well made. Seems appear strong . Windows are flexible and thicker plastic. Very roomy. Easily can accommodate 4 adults fishing and probably 8 or 9 hanging out of the cold. I was able to set it up by myself in about 3 minutes stepping in and pushing from the inside. No assembly required aside from your ice anchors. Excited to get this on the ice. ... show more

  • Great shack for the money.
Style Name: 8 Person Insulated
Before this I had the 2-3 man uninsulated. It held up really well and worked great so this seemed like a perfect upgrade to be able to overnight in. Quality is great. Only complaints are the windows are much smaller than the v style on the smaller shack , it only came with 9 ice anchors when it needs 12 to be anchored in strong wind. Neither are a big deal. Biggest complaint is the sides are listed to be the same height as the 2 man. However because they slant out to make a larger floor space the roof height overall is lower. I’m 6’ 2” never hit my head in the small one but can only stand up directly in the middle of the 6-8 person without hitting my head on the roof. ... show more

  • Well built, warm and huge
Style Name: 8 Person Insulated
For the price you can't beat this. It's huge and I could stuff 10 of my buddys in this thing some sitting some standing. Super warm with a heater and keeps the heat well. The only problem is the windows do leak if it rains because the windows are removable. But most ice houses have that issue so it really isn't a big deal definitely buy it especially if wanna bring people ... show more

  • Great for the price
Style Name: 8 Person Insulated
For the price this thing is awesome and durable. It's held up to some serious cold and 50+ mph winds. My 1 complaint is the windows. The vinyl windows use velcro and they aren't cut right. No matter what you do the windows just don't fit allowing a lot of heat to escape unless you use the "blinds" over the windows and black out the hub. Otherwise quality is on par woth the big name brands. Plenty of room and for the price I can't complain. I would recommend and would buy again but will be making my own windows. ... show more
