  • Heigh10+ in 2022 Jeep Gladiator
Size: 10.1" (HEIGH10+)
Let me start by saying, stop looking. This unit is outstanding in every way. Ran the sub and remote lines out to a single channel amp and two10's with an under the seat box, amazing professional quality sound, to say the least. Without the subs, the speakers are no longer hindered by the POS factory head unit, and crank all by themselves. The features are endless and quality is amazing. It truly looks and feels like it's from the factory. Like everyone else, getting the rats nest of wiring to fit is a chore, but so worth the struggle. Directions were good (your only option), you will be hard pressed to find a video for the 10+. Make sure you hook up the hdmi for your factory backup camera to function. I did not need to do the firmware upgrade as everything worked as needed. Connected to wireless carplay without me doing a thing. The only knock I have is the cover that waterproofs the connection on the back of the display, was not the right one in my box as it was too short and the screw holes did not line up. Don't foresee it ever being an issue though. Highly recommend this unit. Lots of options for add ons in the future as well. ... show more

  • 2020 Gladiator approved!
Size: 10.1" (HEIGH10+)
Originally was going to give a much lower rating due to difficulty of this "plug and play" set up. Yes, it is plug and play, but you still really need to know what you're doing. They have videos for installing the model below this and above this, but NOTHING on the HEIGH10+ specifically, and there are several differences between the models that you just can't wing it. I ended up trying and a few features just didn't work. I figured I set something up wrong. I was right. I took it to the local radio install place, paid $150 to troubleshoot and reinstall. Now it works great, back up camera and all other features work as they should. It fits and looks awesome. It's a great option to the tiny stock radio in a Gladiator SportS. The Android Auto works perfect and it's even improved the sound of my stock speakers! A little louder and a little clearer. ... show more

  • Worst Purchase Ever!!!
Size: 10.1" (HEIGH10+)
It kills me to say this… But this Stinger radio is by far the worst product I’ve ever bought. Since I’ve had it installed in my Jeep I’ve had nothing but problems with this unit. As a Jeep and car audio fanatic, I was extremely excited about this product. After having it installed, I’ve had nothing but issues. Things worked great for about 2 weeks, then that’s when the issues began. It started with the screen not turning off, which caused my battery to die. Then it started working again. A few weeks later when starting the vehicle, the reverse screen showed six or seven different scrambled images, and now the unit doesn’t even come on. I’ve had the unit looked at by professionals and no one can find a solution. I’ve tried reaching out to Stinger and their customer service has been very unhelpful. At this point I’m out of $1,500. I’m not sure if I have a lemon as a unit, but I highly do not recommend this product. ... show more

  • Not worth the price after all these issues
Size: 10.1" (HEIGH10+)
This really is an amazing system, with all of the options and settings it offers. You can see so much information about your Jeep from oil pressure to charging. It even sounds better than the factory radio. Installation was pretty easy with the detailed instructions and they are right there isn’t much room behind the radio for all the harness connections. It really is a quality system. You are now probably asking why only 4 stars for my review. Well my issue is the gui screens. When you do a search online the Height10 has some pretty good gui screens with a Jeep JL in them particularly the hvac screens. In those it shows you blue lines for where the air is blowing out. Well this being the Height10 + with all of its upgrades over the standard Height10 I figured it would include those gui screens. Well it doesn’t it has pretty standard bland screens. In all honesty the Jeep uconnect screens look better. Now I know you are saying well it’s far superior to the uconnnect system and you are right but for almost $1500 I feel that it should have some pretty good gui screens for its functions. Now if they offer a download for the better gui screens I would definitely change my reviews to 5 stars. Update to my previous review I lowered my review score as the amount of issues I have had these last months has made me regret this purchase for the last few months I have had issues with it losing the ability to control the climate control and losing vehicle settings and information including the backup camera. I have to reset it a few times a month. I contacted stinger for help and they were very nice and sent out a few new modules but I’m still having issues. For as much as this costs I should have stuck with the factory screen. ... show more

Good quality radio head. The additional features such as accessory light management and extra cameras are nice. Installation can be lengthy but took me about three hours. Overall not bad. Would recommend

  • Great Jeep Upgrade
Size: 10.1" (HEIGH10+)
This upgrade is really nice. They thought of everything. Ended up adding upgraded speakers and amp as well. Customer service sent me a replacement cord for one I damaged during installation. I’m very pleased with the quality and service.

  • Don’t do it unless you like regularfrustration
Size: 10.1" (HEIGH10+)
For the TL:DR group, I would start by saying having had this stereo unit for almost a year now, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and I wouldn’t buy it ever again. If you want further details as to why, keep reading. But trust me, save your money and save the headaches and the hassles. On the plus side, the stereo looks nice and fits nice in my 2019 Jeep Wrangler Jay. I suppose the sound is decent as well depending a lot on the speakers and amplifiers you have. And that’s about it for the plus side. For the downside, buckle up. We could be here a while. 1. We’ll start with the most important thing, and that’s connectivity. One of the big selling points for me in me getting the stereo was the wireless CarPlay functionality. I think I have to go in manually connected as often as a connects on its own. Is this the end of the world? No. But when you pay $1000 for a car stereo, you’d like to think it will just work. Half the time when I try to connect it manually it doesn’t work anyway. I have to delete my phone from the system and re-added it in order to connect Again and if I ever add a second phone, like my daughter‘s phone so she can play her music, it will almost never connect to my phone again. I have to delete her phone just about 100% of the time in order to connect my phone again. 2. Let’s move on to the backup camera. There are times I get in and the backup camera simply does not work. It’s installed and connected and I would say works probably 90% of the time, but if I’m being honest, for a backup camera, 90% of the time isn’t good enough. There are times it doesn’t come on at all and says something along the lines of no camera connected. There are times I get nine boxes across the screen each with little versions of what the backup camera is seeing. Also not helpful. 3. Lately, I’ve had a wonderful experience of having everything connect… And no sound comes out. There’s no sound from Apple CarPlay. There’s no sound from the local radio station. Nothing makes sound. The beeps on the radio itself work just fine. But nothing else makes any sound. I have to stop, turn my car off, let the radio turn itself off, and then restart everything in order for sound to come back. This might be the worst part of the whole thing. What good is a stereo that doesn’t play music? 4. There is no standalone SiriusXM functionality. You have to go through the app. While this isn’t a stinger issue in isolation, the SiriusXM app is terrible. It’s much easier just to have the SiriusXM invented and connected to the stereo so I can switch over to that as a source. At this set up, you’re ever without Wi-Fi, you’re also without SiriusXM. 5. No light sensor as part of the stereo. There is no light sensor with the stereo meaning it has no ability to change between right screen and dark screen in CarPlay. You have to go in manually do this. I’m well aware this is a first world problem. But when you pay over $1000 for a stereo these of the little things you’d hope are just taken care of. I 100% have buyers remorse and wish I had never gotten the stereo. I can only at this point recommend that you don’t take on the same frustrations that I have. Hope this helps somebody. ... show more
