Just received my Steelcase Leap chair today, after weeks of sitting on a crooked gaming chair. I have sat on it for the last half hour. So far, it feels sturdy, comfortable, and supportive. Shipping was very fast. It was left on my porch in the rain for about 25 minutes, but it was double boxed, so it was fine. The box was big and a bit of a workout to get into the house and open it. The chair comes fully assembled. The main issue (and one star deduction) is that I ordered the black and platinum color, thinking it would be nice to have a brighter color for the back, however I received all black. The color isn’t too big of a deal, so I’m not going to send it back (especially due to the box size), but considering the price, I wish it was as expected. The paper taped to the box did indicate platinum on it, but the chair is all black. The warranty info is on the Steelcase website. Not a lot of paperwork with the chair itself, just the shipping information and a small sheet detailing the knob and lever functions. ... show more

I just received my Steelcase chair from Amazon - I ordered it in Alpine white, but received the wrong color (dark gray). That being said, the adjustability and comfort of this chair is everything advertised, looking to replace my pandemic office chair with something long lasting.

I got this for just over $1k. The construction feels solid and the lumbar support is exceptional. The seat height lacks upper back and neck support without the headrest because it has a slight negative tilt. Reviews universally say the headrest option is bad so that wasn't a consideration.

I took away one star for price. But maybe that's not fair. I searched high and low for quality office chairs at an affordable price. It seemed like they were either around $100 and low quality or around $1,000 and I was worried to spend so much. However, I am thrilled with my chair. I do wish there were a middle ground price point but it is what it is. Plus, I imagine the cost is including shipping the chair FULLY ASSEMBLED. That is very convenient. I have low back problems and this is supportive. My complaints about previous chairs were the seat was not comfortable and not deep enough. This seat you can adjust the depth, the arms, the lumbar, height, everything! I highly recommend watching the video to see the adjustment process. I think this will work best if you take the time to adjust properly. The lumbar adjustment is great! Also, I like the adjustment for how much you have to push to lean back. I purchased this chair because I have a work-from-home desk job. I sit a lot, so I have back pain a lot. This chair hasn't totally resolved it on its own but it's definitely helped. Before I was making due with kitchen chair, a yoga ball, and other cheap office chairs. I was pretty nervous about spending this much on a chair but it is where I spend ~6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Was it worth it? I think so. It's not a miracle cure or anything, but it helps. Pros: all the adjustment possibilities, shape, visual appeal, back support, just works Cons: can't go as high as I'd like, butt padding is a little thin ... show more

This is one of the best office ergo chairs you can buy. Very supportive and highly adjustable. the only con is the seat cushion is a little thin which may feel hard for a heavy person. I believe their is a company that you can purchase an upgraded thicker seat cushion, but steel case should provide a thicker cushion like the Amia Chair they make. ... show more

Why did I wait so long to spend a giant chunk of money for a chair? It seemed ridiculous. I worked in one of these chairs in an office and loved it every single day, but when I saw the price I decided not to get one at home. After working at home I started to notice so much pain and spent lots of money buying cushions and other chairs etc. I was hurting so much I actually posted on Facebook to my friends and ask them what seat cushions or chairs they liked. A very smart friend asked why i was buying cushions instead of getting a better chair. Impart I wasn’t looking for a new chair because it was the pandemic and I didn’t want to go outside to a lot of stores and try on new chairs. She then asked if there was a chair in my history that I knew I could trust. Leap chair was right there in my mind!!! I did it. Spent a grand on a chair. Bought a vibrant bright blue one with platinum base. My arm rests move with me. Everything adjusts. Just everything. The lower back support is wonderful and the actual seat moves back and forth. Cushion is just right and literally removed my pain. I’m 5’8” and large sized but I’d say someone much larger would have plenty of room too. Since arm rests also can move closer to the body, I’m guess smaller people would love it too. Everyone in the office where I worked with them was happy with it.     • It's not hard floor casters!!

Nice chair for office, but not a lying chair. it provides enough lumb support and adjustment for work, but the angle to lean back is kinda small so you can't really lie down a lot and have a nice JO in front of your labtop lol. The casters are not for hard floor! they are for soft carpet (just as they are in the pictures). Amazon won't send me replacement parts. They said i can return but it's just too much work ... show more
