A USB serial number feature means the PC will detect the TSP143IIIU on its Windows platform using any USB port. Star Micronics has also added an additional USB type A connector for one convenient power source for your tablet or mobile device. It has a print speed of 43 Receipts per Minute, perfect for any busy environment, with a small footprint that saves precious counter space. The special "Drop-In and Print" clamshell design allows for fast and easy paper loading, and its patented "De-Curl" function always delivers a flat receipt - even at the end of the roll. I have square stand/iPad combo and bought this for my booth at events. Took minutes to setup. Plug into power source. I then used the included USB cable to plug the printer into the accessory port on my Square Stand. Loading thermal paper was as simple as dropping in the roll, ensuring it was feeding in the proper direction and closing the lid. Turned on the power then fired up Square app on my iPad. Added the print station via Hardware menu and ran a test print. Wow that was easy. And for the $$ it should be. I just wish I could have used my DYMO XL instead of having to purchase another printer. Square just won't recognize it. The receipt layout and content is setup within Square (web version). I have a detailed logo and the print quality displays it perfectly. The anti-curl feature delivers nice flat receipts. Note: You get a sneeze of a roll of receipt paper so be sure to pickup more with your purchase. I picked up Thermal King 3.25" x 230'. You can get the thinner rolls as it comes with an adapter to hold them, but it also requires downloading an app to change the setting to recognize the different sized roll. ... show more

I ordered the receipt printer for a new store we are opening in a week. My first surprise was receiving the printer much earlier than expected. I received it in 3 days and was looking at at least a week before. One less thing to stress over. I had the printer set up and working in less than 20 minutes. I connected it by USB to my POS and then connected it to the register drawer and bam! It worked the first time! The seller reached out to me the day after I received it. That was a nice touch. I am writing this review to express my dissatisfaction with my recent purchase of a printer from your Amazonstore. Unfortunately, after investing numerous hours attempting to make the printer work with my tablet, I discovered that it is not compatible. This lack of compatibility was not clearly indicated at the time of purchase, and I strongly believe that there should have been explicit information regarding which tablets the printer is compatible with. Moreover, I was disappointed to learn that I would be subject to a 50% restocking fee for returning the printer. This policy seems unfair given the circumstances, as the product did not meet my needs due to the lack of compatibility information provided. I urge you to reconsider your restocking fee policy and to update your product listings with comprehensive compatibility information to prevent other customers from experiencing similar frustrations in the future. ... show more
