  • Great value with great features.
Size: 15 Amp
This is my second Stanley charger. I accidentally left my first one outside during a rain storm. Not surprisingly that did it in. It worked great for several years and I’m confident it would have lasted many more. It so hard to find a good battery charger with a DISPLAY of what’s occurring with the battery and or what’s occurring with the charger as it’s charging. This one has a nice display screen that gives you all the information necessary for charging any type of battery. It also has the engine crank feature which is also hard to find…especially at the price of this unit. ... show more

  • "BIG" things in "little" boxes!
Size: 25 Amp
The look of this thing is where it started I like the way its designed. So that got me to do some research about it . I have had an old AC Delco charger that my neighbor gave me . It was like a suitcase you know the ones like all the repair shops & gas stations had with wheels & a handle to tow it around from car to car . Yeah those ones . I'm sure that's where it came from .I loved that charger! .. it did every thing ! Jump start! , trickle charge! Charging system check , to see if your alternator or generator was working . Load test a battery , it had 4 switches a big ole' Amp & Volt meter , selector knob for 2 , 10 or 20 Amp charge for both 6 & 12 volt batteries And a timer so you could "SET IT & FORGET IT" well I haven't been able to find it after we moved back to be closer to my mom 1 year ago & I'm still pissed about it !! So knowing I'll never be able to replace that one ! I just borrowed one whenever I needed to . Then my buddy let me borrow the one he got for x-mas Which was this same model as this only his was orange ! He hadn't even used it yet , still in the box ! So I pulled it out plugged it in & as I was hooking it all up I thought this was kinda cool , I like the looks of it . It was easy to use & since the owners manual & all the literature was right there in the box I just opened I decided to read up on this little unit while I waited . According to the manual this little tiny rubbery plastic ham radio looking thing did alot of the things my old cabinet on wheels did then I read about the recondition button & how it supposed to bring back an old dead battery. "WHAT??" yeah right! . So skeptical I grabbed a battery out of my motorhome , it had been dead for a while . So I did exactly what the manual said left the battery hooked up till it finished its cycle , about 32 hours & then tested the battery & To my surprise 13.7volts & it's still in use today in my ol'e ranch truck & I've revived 2 More dead ones as well . So I decided to buy one . I hope it lasts half as long as that older ac Delco did . I'm very happy with its performance so far & I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy one. ... show more

  • Needed to charge an AGM battery and the 'start engine' function works flawlessly
Size: 25 Amp
My Optima battery requires a special charger. Very expensive. This is the inexpensive option and it works great. I needed it as I had a parasitic drain that I hadn't been able to trace down. (I've since found and resolved the issue.) This charger will charge a battery that has lost it's charge down to nearly four volts. I've used the repair option and although it is not always successful on an old battery it has repaired batteries that we use for the electric driveway gate (regular 12 volt car batteries) and the lawn tractor. The other day my sons truck refused to start. He thought it was the starter as there was just a click and the engine didn't even breath a sigh. He checked his battery with his cheap voltmeter and it said he had over 14 volts. (That can't be right. Kinda high.) Truck wouldn't start. I checked with my good voltmeter and got over 12 volts - more accurate. Truck still wouldn't start. Maybe it really is the starter. I pulled out this charger and checked the voltage. Just over 10 volts. Truck wouldn't start. Which was correct? I don't want it to be the starter. I left this charger hooked up to his battery and punched the 'engine start' button. Ninety seconds later I had him give it a shot and the truck fired up. I guess the charger was the most accurate volt reading. My son went and bought a new battery. (He had to get to work and didn't have time to repair the battery - with this charger.) This charger is and does what it claims. It will charge that AGM Optima. It will repair many worn out batteries, even though it does take a day or two, and that can save you a couple of hundred $$$. (Nothing can repair all worn out batteries.) The engine start capability works flawlessly. The alternator check function works great although it doesn't check the built in voltage regulator. Just a fact. Of course, this same charger is available under different brands with the only difference being the color and the name stamped on the front. Just find the best price and get it. July 2020 update: From five stars down to two. I only paid $60 for the 25 amp charger and I guess I got my monies worth. It worked great while it lasted, but after a year and a half it's useless now. I guess I was more fortunate than most people. When I check a batteries voltage the charger can't seem to make up its mind as I watch the value go up and down. No matter what voltage a battery has, when I try to charge then the charger immediately goes in to FLO mode. Engine start just goes into FLO mode too. Recondition is the only thing that seems to work anymore and I'm not sure about that. I did have another brand of 'smart' charger that I had to return immediately as it just didn't work. Now, no more Stanley's for me. I don't want a 'smart' charger at all anymore. Can't someone market a 'dumb' charger that will charge AGM batteries? ... show more

  • Charging
Size: 15 Amp
I like how it charges starts of slow. Then 16.2v to 15.9 and if charger or battery gets hot it will drop voltage or stop charging for 5 seconds. I like not worrying about damage to battery or charger. I'm very rough with my chargers they will be under a hot hood or even left out in the rain. I have a classic car that is more of a golf cart the altonator went out and this charger keeps it on the road. Charging it Daley not driving more than 5 hours at a time group 31 battery. ... show more
