I have used the rower 5 Times now, for about 30 min each time. I have had no real issues. There are definitely nicer ones, but this rower does do the trick and I’m able to get a good workout in. I don’t write reviews often but I had so much trouble finding a rower for me that I figured this might help someone. I’m 215lb, I like to powerlift,bodybuild so it was important that the machine is sturdy and had good resistance and this one is pretty good. Only bad thing is that it’s noisy but it’s not a big deal for me and also I don’t know how long it’ll last ... show more

Big thumbs up that I received this a whole week earlier than what I was supposed to and I live in Hawaii. Shocking! I researched A LOT on rowers and decided to go with this one. Majority don’t ship here but this one did. It’s only the first day of using it so I will have to come back in about a month or the 90 day mark that some reviews here mentioned. It held up pretty well. Even for my husband, who is 230lbs, it held up for. It did move while he was rowing but that’s an easy fix. He’s a muscular guy so, what do you expect? Despite my build, I am not a cross fitter or a body builder or anything, so I just wanted something to add to my variety of cardio and this seems that it will do the job as long as it holds up. Meaning that I wasn’t looking for anything crazy, though I am an athlete. It looks and feels like it’s pretty cheap though. Pretty much all plastic but it got the job done. I’ll just be careful with it when storing away. You can’t store it by standing it up, which is a bummer but I’ll make it work. The monitor seems pretty cheap as well but it does the job as far as tracking calories, distance and time. The harder you pull, the more resistance you get, which is why I went with an air rower over others. I also bought the 2 year protection plan, just to cover myself. Hopefully this holds up for my next 2 years here and when I return to the mainland, I can get a better machine unless this is still kicking around. For now, I’d recommend it but, to be continued good people......... ***Edit*** Update- I bought this 20 Oct 2020. It is now 27 Jul 2021. As of today, the screen is stuck. Normally the screen turns off if you leave it long enough. It’s not responding at all. I have put brand new batteries in it for the past few days and nothing. So, I am not able to use the features on it anymore. If I use it, I just keep my own timer nearby to see how long I’ve been going for. Additionally, the seat is broken. Underneath the seat seems to be made of cardboard. I am 64 inches and weigh 157 and this was advertised as a 300lb weight limit. I don’t use it every day either. So, I was very surprised to find that it has cracked in half. Thankfully, I purchased a 2 year warranty. I’ve heard horror stories of people dealing with the warranty with things so I hope that this goes smoothly for me. I’ll update later. I initially gave this 5 stars but this definitely brings it down. Edit 2- it’s now 10 Oct 2021. I have reached out to customer service and was told that my warranty doesn’t cover everything. So, paying extra for the warranty does nothing really. I was told that I would receive another part for my screen but it has yet to come. That was back in July that I was told this. I now have a machine that I cannot fully and or properly use. Please spend the extra money on something better if you can. ... show more

    • SOLID MACHINE FOR THE PRICE

I am not using this machine to train for competative rowing, or as a primary means of exercise. I use it to create 5 minutes of cardio during my normal workouts. It is not a gym-quality machine, but it is far from being cheap either. It seems very suitable for a home gym - and unless you are a serious rower - should hold up for a long time. It has not variable resistence settings - harder you row - the harder it gets. The display is easy to see, but to be honest, I am not completely sure what it is telling me beyond the time I have been rowing. Assemble was easy. It folds up nicely to take up very minimal space. It works on a fan belt system, so it will make noise like a loud floor fan, but that would be the same for the professional level rowers as well. Highly recommend this. Friends who have seen it, and who are more serious about rowing, are impressed with it in terms of home-gym level. ... show more

This is an excellent rower for the price. It functions very smoothly and is solidly built. The seat and footrests are comfortable. I was a little concerned about the noise level after reading complaints and watching videos. However this machine is far more quiet than I was expecting and have no issues using it in the room next to my daughters while she sleeps. Overall a wonderful rower especially for the price.     • Think twice before purchasing- Great concept but better materials needed

I purchased this rower in July 2020. It was great until about two weeks ago. I noticed a cracking sound coming from the rower itself. So, I oiled it and tightened a couple bolts and that seemed to help. Unfortunately, while working out the other day the electronic monitor snapped off and smashed to pieces inside the machine. When I tried to repair the machine, I noticed that the electronic components were held together with twist ties like you would see on a bread wrapper. I paid good money for this machine it would be nice if better, stronger materials be used to hold components together. ... show more

    • Superb exercise device--poorly prepared for assembly

Item was not in proper condition for assembly. Buckle on strap fell into interior of device. I had to remove air cover to retrive buckle. Took a while and was not simple. Two screws and nuts related to attachment on stand were not attached and were on bottom of shipping box. After this ordeal assembly took about 45 minutes. Holes for push pins to secure device for fold up storage were too small. I had to provide my own thinner bolts. Fold up storage is difficult. Device is superb for exercise. It is noisy.
