Milliard's table and chairs was super easy to assemble, took me about 1 hour for 3 pieces. Milliard included a super funny insert to address steps to take in case of any missing pieces, anything wrong with product, etc. I love their sense of humor! The table and chairs are super sturdy, though on the smaller side, which is great for my 1 and 3 yr old grandkids; not so much for the 7 year old. There were a few minor scratches/blemishes, but nothing affecting function and safety. Love the baskets under the chairs and table; great for storing small kid treasures. Kids haven't used it yet, so not sure how well it will hold up, but will write another review after they've broken it in. I originally had planned to buy another table but it was out of stock. At the time of my purchase, this had no reviews. I decided to take a chance on this. I’m somewhat happy and somewhat disappointed. Pros: This has lots of storage in a small profile. It has 3 table top surfaces (all built into one table top piece which isn’t obvious to me in the description) for a variety of play options. My kids love the train side, the plain side is helpful to have for snack time, and the brick building side does indeed fit name brand Lego and Duplo bricks. It’s a great size for two kids. It fits my 6 and 3 year olds well and I believe it would work well for kids 2-8 years. Once put together, it seems pretty sturdy. I think structurally it will hold up well. Cons: HORRIBLE instructions. I’ve put together many “do it yourself” furniture pieces and this is one of the worst when it comes to the instructions. The instructions are hard to follow, the pictures aren’t helpful, NONE of the pieces are labeled, and as another reviewer stated, the instructions seem to defy gravity at times! I put this together by myself but I swear you need to morph into an octopus to put the chairs together. You need multiple hands for the chairs. Because of the lack of labeling of ANY piece, you just have to guess which piece is which. Which is most frustrating. Thankfully some of it was obvious to me but if you’re not well versed with putting things together this won’t be easy for you. Mine was also missing pieces! THANKFULLY they weren’t important pieces (it was missing the dividers that velcro into the large drawers) but still frustrating to not have parts that are supposed to be there. One of the chairs came chipped (see photo). Each piece was individually wrapped in a foam sheet and there was copious amounts of styrofoam in the box so how it was chipped is beyond me. I worry about how it will look in a few months if it can chip that easily in transport. The screws are totally exposed. They don’t give you any of those plastic covers to make it nicer looking. This isn’t the end of the world but would be a nice touch that probably wouldn’t cost them much. Despite my long list of cons, overall I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this to a friend. It’s good quality for the price point and very helpful to have when you have kids/grandkids or a daycare. UPDATE: One week of use and there are some minor scratches/chips in the paint. I’m not surprised but still a little disappointing. I contacted the company about the missing dividers. They overnighted the dividers VIA UPS. They didn’t just send the dividers, they sent new drawings too. I’m very happy with my customer service experience. UPDATE: I have had this table for a little over a year now and it’s still in good condition. The only additional con I can come up with is the hardware on the chairs comes loose over time and needs to be tightened. About once every 6 weeks I have to tighten the screws.     • Stable, durable, and excellent for Lego storage!
I was initially skeptical based on some of the reviews with fewer stars. We have had no issues with ours. The table is strong and stable. The chairs are the perfect size for my 4-7 year olds. The drawers have dividers which is perfect for our Lego collection. We use a section for each color or pair of colors. It keeps the Legos mostly off the floor and not under my feet! We also use a drawer for our cars that they use with the road map that is under the Lego/flat table insert. The chair drawers are used for art supplies for when they use the flat table option. My kids spend hours using the table and chairs every day. We bought it for this past Christmas and it hasn't shown any signs of wearing down except for a few paint chips from my kids trying to flip the table top themselves. Really happy with this table and chair set. It took the two of us just a little over an hour to assemble, all parts were there and tool was provided but we found it much easier to use a regular Phillips screw rather than the tool we got as it was a lot easier to grip. Everything was very well wrapped and all screws and hardware were in their own package. It does help if you separate all the parts ahead of time (table vs chairs) as it does have a lot of pieces and can get overwhelming. At the end we had a bit of a hard time getting the shelves on the table lined up since we had to juggle a bit (helps when you have multiple hands), otherwise if on your own you’ll probably want to pull your hair out. Overall though the final product is well worth your hard work and definitely worth the money. Love all of the storage space so all the Lego can stay nice and organized. Most liked: - Pieces and well fabricated and fit together perfectly. - easy to clean, the white top will be great for play dough art time. - competitive price - arrived in box that was well packaged and protected all the pieces from being scratched. - table surface creates opportunity for 3+ways to play. He is a Lego guy so will love that surface the most. Things to improve: - cam fasteners and screws were the hardest to get connected but it eventually worked. Needed plyers to twist in the cam screw. It is beautiful. It is sturdy. It holds a lot. The drawers could be of better quality but it functions well. But oh my avid is this a biasch to assemble. Took me 2 days cause I needed the breaks in between the frustrations. Also needed a 2nd person for the chairs bcs it is absolutely against physics the way they tell you to do it. I suggest tightening each part separately with the screws and leaving it a bit loose before moving to the other part of chair. Same for the table (easier to assemble but still a lot). Use your own screwdrivers. Also the cam fastener holes may need to be widened. I did it with the screw driver. I’d get it again cause it’s worth it but will hire someone if I had to redo. ... show more
