Say goodbye to nasty scratched-up plastic litter boxes and hello to this large stainless litter box. I will most likely never go back to the old plastic boxes because the scratches in the bottom made from your cat's claws hold all sorts of yucky germs and bacteria. That not only looks gross, but it makes the litter box smell bad, too - no matter how many times you change it. Being made of lightweight, stainless steel, this box should prevent that from happening, while also making things easier to clean. The litter box has plenty of room, includes a plastic "splash" guard/lid to help limit the amount of litter thrown out of the box, and the 'lip' on the front part of the guard is slotted so that it will hopefully allow any litter caught in their paws to fall back into the box (if they use it to exit the box instead of just jumping out). It also comes with 4 anti-skid stickers for the bottom to prevent sliding and scratching of the floor, and a scooper that can be hooked onto the box if you choose. The scooper is just a cheap plastic one so I tossed it, but it was a nice thought. Although it is stainless steel, it is not too heavy. I like the size (as do my 2 large cats) and the depth, plus the splash guard is plenty high enough that it cuts down on the amount of litter outside of the box. My cats seem happy to use it, and I am happy with how it looks. We are all very happy that it does not hold any smells. While I have not had this long enough to need a cleaning, I am not dreading it as much as I used to because I cannot imagine it will be difficult as it is smooth metal. I will come back and update you if that changes for any reason. Overall I am very happy with this litter box. So much so, that I will be getting another to replace my remaining plastic one!

This review is for the Oebitor Stainless Steel Litter Box with Lid (XL) We have a very large cat with some really weird litter box habits. She likes to scratch and scratch at her box when she's done her business. A while back, she got in the habit of not quite hitting the box. I speculated this was due to her large size (we honestly only give her a half cup of diet food per day!). So to address this, we got her a very large, high-sided plastic box. Well, let me say... that thing STINKS. I don't know why, but odors are 100x worse than they were with the previous box, which seemed to be made from a stronger plastic. When I saw the opportunity to select this Oebitor XL stainless steel litter box, I jumped. I had considered one before, but they can be prohibitively expensive. This box is nearly the same size as the plastic one, measuring just an inch or so narrower. But as noted in the description, it is indeed perfect for a large cat. I like the high-sided enclosed design to help reduce the mess of her kicking her litter (and other stuff) out of the box. One thing I did not realize about plastic litter boxes is that the scratches and surface can absorb odors. While stainless steel can still scratch, it does not create micro-grooves like plastic. This litter box is super easy to clean... I like to dump it, squirt a shot of detergent in it, then blast it with a hose. It dries super quickly, especially in the sun. Overall, this is a great litter box. It's a bit of an investment but is generally priced competitively (especially if you're able to clip a coupon). Highly recommended!

My cats love their new litter box. It's easy cleaning, durable and does not absorb odors. It's also generously sized with high walls to contain their mess. (They love kicking litter around.) Once you've had a stainless steel litter box, there's no going back!

I love the stainless litter pans as they really do not hold any odor and you can truly disinfect and clean them back to new condition with little effort. I was a bit concerned when I was taking this out of the box because the box was really crushed in and then it was taped over. Not a problem with the litter box but a quality control issue with Amazon. The pan turned out not to be damaged but it didn't look good. We have several cats and are changing out all of thee plastic pans to stainless and this pan does not disappoint. I think including the cheap scoop is a waste though because it is basically useless and I tossed it. It's an unnecessary extra that could cut the cost a little. This is a nice litter box that I would definitely recommend.

This litter box is very large. The bottom is stainless steel so it doesn’t hold odors and it’s easy to clean. The top portion is made of hard plastic. It’s sturdy and will not lose its shape. It locks to the base on both sides and will not come off unless you pull both sides to release it from the stainless steel pan. It comes with the scooper and the scooper has a hook like you’re supposed to hang it on some thing, but there is nothing to hang it on. I’ve seen similar ones but those had plastic piece on the side of the litter box that they hooked into. I wish this one had a place to hang the scooper. The lid has holes at the exit to catch litter off of your cat’s paws. I do wish they were a little larger though. It comes with four adhesive circles to put on the bottom so that it won’t slide on the floor. This litter box is large and sturdy. While I wish it had a holder for the scooper and a step like others I’ve seen, it’s priced lower than those. If you’re OK without the step and the scoop holder, I recommend this one.

Great size. Even my big chonker cat can move around easily inside. The stainless steel doesn’t hold smell like plastic so that’s a huge plus. The sides being so high are helping so much keeping the litter off the floors. It is expensive but it is really nice quality so you get what you pay for. It’s something your cats are gonna use and soil daily for years; you might as well spend a little extra to get something nice.
