  • Not bad.
I bought two of these to go under the new mattresses I bought for my kids' beds. Very lightweight. It wasn't exactly what I expected, as I was hopi h to remove the slats in the bed and use this as the main support. It's a wood frame with a layer of something that feels a bit like really thick cardboard, and covered in fabric. It doesn't feel sturdy enough to be the sole support if the bed. That said, I did purchase it so the new mattress has a flat surface to rest on, and for that, it does the job just fine. Glad I didn't spend more on it than I did, though, or I wpuld have felt it was worth the price. But it saved me from having to build one myself ;) ... show more

  • Really cheap material that creaks over time
We purchased this almost 3 -1/2 years ago. So we've had it awhile. The first year it worked ok, but then we noticed our child's bed really started to creak with any movement he made and he's not a big kid. Our child has a twin latex mattress that MUST have a flat surface/board under it in order to keep the integrity of the mattress, because latex mattresses are fairly heavy. So we ordered this thing because we thought it was all wood. We just put up with the awful creaking until I just couldn't handle it anymore. We ruled out the bed frame making the noise. My husband took off this bunkie board from the bed frame and the creaking immediately stopped. He took it apart to see how it was constructed. It is made up of a cheap rectangular wood frame with only one long beam running the center length of the board. The horizontal "ribs" are spaced about a foot apart. Attached to that wood frame was cardboard "board" that had been stapled to it. Literally the same kind of carboard as your Amazon box. Flimsy. Not sturdy at all. Not the kind of support we thought we had. Wrapped around it was a cheap fabric so that you don't get splinters. That's it. Friends, safe yourself some $ and irritation and go buy a sturdy piece of plywood at Lowe's or Home Depot and wrap it yourself in fabric. It will no doubt be sturdier than this. ... show more

  • Perfect for Popular IKEA Daybed
I’m one of the many purchasers of Ikea’s daybed that converts to a king; it stacks two mattresses when used as a couch, so needed some backbone to firm it up for seating. This performs that duty as well as I’d expected, and when I convert to a bed, it protects the fragile slats under the pulled-out bed. ... show more

  • Recommended by a physical therapist
Buy two to replace box springs and lower a king size bed. A little short top to bottom, but it works. Recommended by a physical therapist.

  • It's good for what it was meant for.
Good for what it was meant for. Rather cheaply made, but durable enough for my twin granddaughters' beds. There weren't any other alternatives that fit our needs, so this is okay.

  • Very useful and exactly what we needed.
My son "inherited" a twin bed that has springs instead of a regular bed frame. We put a small plywood board under his mattress to try to keep it from sinking and dipping in the middle. That didn't prove very helpful. This board is exactly what we needed! I feel better knowing that his mattress is firmer and therefore easier on his back. ... show more
