I've have had it installed on my 07 Ram 1500 for over a month and can't complain. Definitely more power and better throttle response. Gas mileage is better but let's face it, its a 5.7 hemi. Pretty easy to install also if you are use to working on your truck.

Only problem was when I had to insert the sensor. the rubber gasket is tight and I had a hard time inserting the sensor on my 2006 dodge ram 1500 5.7 liter. I had to have my wife put her hand in the pipe to hold the gasket on the inside so I could force the sensor in. other than that the directions were pretty straight forward and easy. ... show more

    • HORRIBLE QUALITY COMPONENTS - ZERO QUALITY ASSURANCE FROM THE FACTORY
Where to even begin... The edges of the intake tube were rife with sharp metal burrs. There were several weld splatters around the MAF port - it needed to be sanded just to fit the MAF plug. Inside the intake tube was a small mass of carbon / welding waste that scraped off with a screwdriver - this mass would have ended up inside my manifold and likely caused engine damage. The rubber plugs are not properly sized and fit so loosely that they would not create an airtight seal. And finally 2 out of the 4 hose clamps that came with the kit were completely bound and unusable. One actually snapped in half while trying to loosen it. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE QUALITY COMPONENTS AND ZERO QUALITY ASSURANCE. ... show more

Easy install, air sensor hole had to drill out some. Use 10mm extended socket and flat head and it's a snap. Truck sounds good and runs better nice product

Unfortunately im very dissapointed with spectre.. Bought this intake so my truck could breathe better.. The intake i just bought replaces the top cover of the original box and the tubing from the throttle body to the box.. The problem with the original intake is the small hole the truck has in the bottom box to breathe threw. This using the bottom box to breathe threw changes nothing.. I posted pictures of the way i did the intake which lets the intake breathe free and clear!!! Also I am more dissapointed with the clamps sent to close the intake they dont seem to close enough to keep the intake sealed so now i have a whistle from hell that sounds like the brakes on a train squeeling from hell and back!! I have been purchasing and swearing by spectre for years!!!! Bought air filters and intakes for years for me my family and my customers and im actually very diaspointed in them right now.. Thankfully this is my truck that i am having these issues with and i Dont have a customer yelling at me because their having these issues but this is just very sad for me.. On the plus side the rubber gromets for plugs and the iat sensor worked flawlessly and perfectly!!!! 2 stars because i had to make it work and have more work to do to get the train whistling to go away and the clamps :/ ... show more

Bought this for my 08 Dodge Ram with the 5.7 Hemi. Didn't take too long to install. I've had it on for about a week and I've already noticed a Mpg increase. Along with my flowmaster exhaust, it sounds beastly and looks great too. Can really tell a difference when I stomp on it. Overall love it.
