Works great and a perfect size for my needs! Not very loud at all and a nice flow of heat! The included WiFi connection instructions aren’t helpful at all and I had to search the reviews and found the info that I needed! I have several other Tuya devices and I just knew there was a trick that I wasn’t getting. Turns out, you have to hold the timer button on top of the heater for a few seconds before it beeps and the WiFi icon on the screen starts to flash and then the Tuya app finds it almost instantly! I’ve noticed that if you use the heater in Eco mode, it uses its built in thermostat and will shut off once it’s reached the set temperature, then after a little period of being idle the screen will go off and enter a standby phase. Once the temp drops below your setting it will start and heat again until it gets back up to temp! Hope this review helps everyone who couldn’t understand how to set up the WiFi/app connection! UPDATE: If the heater is unplugged or tipped over/picked up and restarted, once powered back on WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY SET TO THE MAX TEMPERATURE OF 95°!!!

The remote only works within 8" of the heater, the fan is weak & doesn't distribute the heat very well, so the heater runs constantly because the room never gets up to temp, & on high, the heater trips the breaker which means it pulls more than the stated 1500w. Also, whenever the heater is unplugged, it resets the thermostat temp back to 95, which then has to be readjusted using the controls on the heater itself, since the remote is useless, which means 25 button presses just to adjust back to 70, every single time. Also, after a period of time, the screen on the heater showing the temperature in the room turns off even while the heater is still running, so you cannot see the current temp in the room without pressing a button on the heater, again since the remote is useless. I did not have issues connecting it to the app like other users though, because I followed the instructions from another review that told how to put the heater into pairing mode.

As stated in previous reviews, the App is not made by the heater company, but I did get it connected finally with the help of the reviews. I was about to set it up for return as the Temp Down button on the remote was not working, and I have only had this for a few days. I bought this one to replace the one I had that had a great app (Govee) but was recalled. I have this under my desk so it is a bit of a pain to get down to, so I wanted an app controlled heater. When I couldn't connect the heater I gave up and decided at least I have a remote. Then the temp down button wasn't responding. So I tried the app again and checked the reviews. Cat Cobra & Randall D. Kreisel's review helped, and after many tries I got it connected. Holding the timer button down is the button you press to activate Wi-Fi. When the item was first found it gave a weird error. So I had to remove the device from Tuya and add it again. Once added the second time it worked. The app is very basic and has very limited functionality. I am going to keep looking for a good heater with a good app. As far as the heater goes, it does a good job. But MANY heaters can heat. HARD PASS if you are looking to buy a heater with an app or remote.

It has been so hard to find an electric heater with remote and APP that doesn’t break the bank. I’m returned a $70 one that was crap compared to these. I bought two with the sale and they warm up fast, have eco mode, oscillate, are light weight, the manual doesn’t explain the app and the app instructions don’t tell you how this model connects so I emailed the seller and the took screenshots of the app manual which described a totally different product. Download the Tuya app find Electric Heater (WiFi) in small home appliances. Hold down the timer button and it’ll beep twice and show a connectivity symbol. Connect to your WiFi and BOOM! Now I have TWO heaters working in my place I can use remote or my phone for 1/2 of the price of the other heaters.

Unboxed and set up. Worked fine with on-device buttons and handheld remote. The "modes" are a bit confusing, especially when trying to control the device through the app (see below) The instructions for the app tell you to press the "reset" button in order to pair it with the WIFI. But there is no "reset" button on the device. Through trial and error I discovered that holding one of the buttons on the top of the device puts it into paring mode. I was systematically holding buttons down for 5-10 seconds when the device "pairing" indicator started flashing as the app instructions required. But I cannot definitively say WHICH button did the trick.( I THINK it was the "Mode" button, but don't quote me on that.) Once paired I discovered that the app will turn the device on an off in any mode, but you can only set the desired temperature through the app when the device is in Eco mode. This again was trial and error. No help in the manual. I had a previous smart heater that was recalled for electrical issues, but it app allowed me to set up unattended on/off times. The app for this device is a "family app" meaning it can control a wide range of devices manufactured by the company. While it is nice to have a single app for many devices, that necessitates a more generic approach to the finer details of control. In order to set programmed on/off times for for this device you have to use something called "scenes". The documentation for scenes is sketchy and the app is not particularly intuitive. Finally, the app will not control all the functions of the device. For instance, I could not toggle the oscillation. In summary, I'll keep it because I was finally able to program it. But I'm an it developer and fairly familiar with the tricks programmers use to do things. (Like holding down a button to enable pairing when there is no physical button.) Less geeky folks could be frustrated beyond their capacity and simply return the device.
