They seem to cancel out some of the noise, but I'm not the one using them. Installed in another bedroom to help out with sleeping. Some install tips: There are actually two pieces of paper on the back of the tiles. One is the double sided adhesive and the other is the strip you pull off. Initially I was starting to pull both off leaving only a little adhesive on the tile. Stopped well before pulling it all off. Once you get under the top paper it peels off easy. You can tell if you are doing it incorrectly if you feel a tearing when peeling. The peeling should be nice and smooth. I found that pressing and squeezing the corners made the double sided adhesive stick better to the tile and it was easier then to get the top paper off. Takes a little patience to get it started.

This product does exactly what it says it does.“The purpose is to reduce, but not entirely eliminate, resonance within the room.” I rent out half my house and I wanted to eliminate sound traveling from one side to the other. This was not their intended purpose. The pads stick nicely and are easy to cut to size using a straightedge and a utility knife. However, they barely made a dent in noise cancellation. My mistake for thinking they would. If you’re like me and are looking for a product to eliminate noise through a doorway, I’d recommend the Audimute isolé sound barrier sheet. They’re more expensive, but I was blown away by the reduction in sound. Well worth the cost. I purchased it from the Audimute website.

The panels absorb sound. 2 panels didn't stick to the side of a painted wall, so I hot glued them. Fine now.

I used these panels in my RV on the inside of the bathroom doors to eliminate noise and reduce echo in the bathroom. They look great, stick on perfectly and I believe are helping with noise reduction. I would definitely buy more.

These work well to reduce some noise from I side our washing machine's cabinet. Good adhesive for vertical mounting. Cut easily with knife. Doesn't do much for low frequency rumble sounds like dryer tumbling, but seems to cut some noise of the high pitched washer spin cycle.

I have tried a few other similar products. This may not be the best in noise cancellation, but it is very easy to install. No need to buy any adhesive. I would say it does reduce the next door noise by 40-60%, depending on the sound pitch and bass. It does not help on bass but it helps to reduce when my next door neighbor talks. Couples with my white noise machine, I would be able to get some sleep.
