I have 2 msr stoves that I have used for several years: pocket rocket 2 and windpro 1. This one is just more refined with a cleaner more consistent looking flame. This thing just had a beautiful flame. And it is quiet. The pocket rocket hit 76 dB, windpro hit 73dB. The Soto was 64. Very quiet! While the supports don't fold down as flat as I like, the are very stable. The windpro had piezo electric start as well but it's less reliable than soto. It's is clearly the best stove of the 3.

So simple, so light, ignitor takes a few tries but had worked each time. Took it on a 2 day traverse of the NH Presidentials and I was able to boil water in less than 3 minutes and also keep it at a super low simmer and it performed well for both functions.

Love this thing. It boils water so fast! I treat it pretty gently and expect it to last a very long time. Great little item for camping, makes cooking pretty clean and easy

This is the best small camp stove you can get on the market it boils water faster than anything it does have a removable pot rest and you have a choice of either a very small one which is very compatible or a larger one which would be good for skillets and or‘s bigger pots. It can be tricky at night to put it together or in the morning when you really want your coffee and you want to get it started before you run to the bush. But overall I would stick with this brand as this is the highest quality on the market

The stove is really excellent for ultralight backpacking. Great support for large pots and fine low flame control. The push button starter is the bees knees. Combine with an MSR fuel canister tripod for superior stability.
