I bought this because a neighbor had one he used to cook with when we had a recent power outage. It is lightweight, convenient, and works well with the butane tanks included. I initially received a cracked case with the stove. I contacted the seller and he quickly responded by sending me another. The service is as good as the product and that's a winner for me. There are a few details to note with this five star purchase. I did not read the details of this order. That is my fault, of course. It cannot be returned. I started the returned process because it stopped working after about eight days. That was my fault as well. I had accidentally pushed the release switch. Please make sure that the switch to engage it on the front is pushed all the way down. I accidentally pushed it up when cleaning it. And, when trying to ignite this unit, make sure that you turn the knob to turn it on counter clockwise all the way to the bottom until it clicks. If you do all of that, it works like a champ. I would say that it cooks on one butane canister for 180-200 minutes on medium heat, which is about six meals in my house. I like low and slow cooking. High heat on this unit would be amazing for searing or wok cooking but would burn anything else. The case it comes in is cheap, brittle plastic that is hard to close. That is not an issue for me because I am using it at home but it might be an issue if you are trotting it around from campsite to campsite. For my purposes this stove is perfect. ... show more

Bought this last spring because mainly I was tired of trying to go find a cup of coffee every time hurricanes knocked out my power and secondly for cooking hot meals. When hurricane Ian knocked out my power, I had coffee and hot meals whenever I wanted them. Worked great. Other brand cans of fuel worked as well as chef master cans. Have continued to use it every day for my coffee since Ian just to test its durability. Only "minor" issue I have is when the can of fuel starts getting low, the flame can burn low for quite some time before all the fuel in the can is gone. With some cans, the flame can burn low for longer than other cans. Used about 10 cans of fuel so far and see no real degradation in the stove's performance. ... show more

We got rid of our stove. We bought different appliances to replace it. The only thing we couldn’t replicate is the burners getting as hot as the stove burners got. Well this thing just boiled water in like 4 mins seriously. I forgot to time it and by the time I remembered, it was already boiling!!
