I honestly wasn’t expecting much from this grill grate. I haven’t used it yet, as it just arrived today, but man is this thing sturdy! The pivot point where it folds is held together with standard bolts and nuts, not some cheap rivets. The legs are solid one piece steel bar. The pen in the photos is for size reference. It’s highly unlikely, but if the legs ever got bent or damaged, it would be easy to replace them. I’ve used grill grates a lot in my life and this is one of the most heavy duty ones I’ve ever seen. It’s not as large as some, but more than ample for cooking for up to four people, I’d say. You won’t be disappointed in this grate! Update! Now that I’ve used this, I can say it works perfectly for my needs! Easy to cook for 4 people, holds up very well sitting over fire and coals for long periods, the griddle side is great for cooking fish, and it’s super easy to clean! Wipe down with soap, spray off, pack up. Simple, durable, and effective! The only way you could damage this is if you ran it over with your vehicle. After cleaning, I dry it off and wipe it down with a little olive oil before storing it in the bag. ... show more

Using this on my camping trip this summer and it was great. Super heavy duty. It got rained on and didnt rust afterwards. Size looks a bit small but trust me it gets the job done or atleast did for my family of 5. Definitely worth the investment.

Nice size grill and nice design, I like that the flat area has a lip to keep food from rolling off. Primary concern is getting the stakes into the ground, especially in rocky soil and once there, will they hold up the heavy grill with the addition of food. I use this over the grate built into the fire pit at the campsite so my food doesn’t touch it. You never know what’s been on it from previous campers. I just leave the legs folded and lay on top. Heavy solid construction and the bag is handy. Would work fine over a ground fire with its sturdy legs.

This grill was used for several camping trips. Grill is easy to deploy and but takes a little fine turning to get the optimal height for cooking. There are some signs of rust but held up well during the winter. I would not hesitate to purchase again. Future improvements would be swapping the hardware to Stainless steel and swap the carry bag with a more durable material. ... show more
