    • FINALLY!! This Sony has the Amazon Prime app!!!
I have been through three different dvd wifi players now trying to find one that worked well and had the Amazon Prime app. The first Sony I bought didn't have it and I was shocked. Then I bought an LG which had the Prime app but was a terrible machine - freezing up all the time and asking me to reenter my router key. I was so skeptical when I bought this because there's apparently something going on between Sony and Amazon where the Prime Amazon app has been discontinued on many of them. And the box only said Netflix, not Amazon Prime. I was delightfully surprised. It has all the apps I need and was easy to set up and so far operates exactly as it should. **Update - I made an inquiry to the distributer of this Sony and was distressed to learn that if Sony wants to discontinue support for any app on their DVD players, they can just do it and it will simply cease to function. Took off one star for that stressful uncertainty. ... show more

It's full of features, plays Blu-rays as well as DVDs, is compact so fits on shelves or under TVs. It's a little pricey but it's well worth the investment which is why I purchased too over the last couple years including recently.

    • New nonfunctional system replaced with full working unit.
Update 02-29-24: Replacement for defective system will not connect to internet randomly and built in apps stop working or delete themselves randomly. I DO NOT recommend this product nor the supplier at this time. Sony products seem to only last a year at best, but this NEW blu-ray hasn't worked properly from out of the box. This being the second unit, hopes for a functioning system are nonexistent! How can pre-installed programs give an error that app is too large and shut down if system is working correctly? Getting them most days. Update 02-01-24: New blu-ray player functions great. Controls can be a little slow, but disc and streaming pictures are great. Would purchase from this seller again, through Amazon. Return went very smooth. Update 01-28-24: The return process has been fantastic, so far. I got a label to take defective player to a UPS store and it was taken, removed, and returned to seller. Even though bought from Amazon, it was a 3rd party purchase. New replacement delivery date has been updated to 3 days instead of a week. Trying to upgrade but stay with Sony products. System this replacing is less than 2 years old. It overheated and would loose internet and apps stopped working until power cycled. This one is doing that right out of the box. Half the supplied apps are disabled and system overheats within minutes, loosing internet and crashing apps during use. Maybe time for brand change. 4th Blu-ray player of Sony brand in 6 years.
