Even though the box says 4K, the DVD player doesn’t actually play 4K DVDs, only Blu-ray and regular DVD with 4K sound, so sadly I have no choice but to return it and exchange it for one that does!

I've been through three of these players. Each one inevitably developed issues that made it unusable due to the high level of annoyance dealing with constant lock-ups and constantly having to re-connect to the internet after every single time that you power it on. This is with quick start enabled too! For some stupid reason, the machine would forget the internet connection, the connection code, force me to run through the user agreement, and have to re-sign into Netflix Every Single Time. That is IF it didn't completely lock up in the middle of the process, forcing a manual power off and starting the whole procedure over again from the beginning . It didn't start this way, it worked fine for a while, but over the course of a few months the problems start to develop, and get progressively worse and worse over time. Usually, by the time the machine is about 9 months old, it's only good for playing dvd's, some of the time (when it won't lock up too fast). On the first machine I thought I was just unlucky, on the second, I was growing highly suspicious, on the third machine, I am fairly certain that this thing is built to break. At this point, I hate the stupid thing, and look forward to replacing it with something that is basically functional for streaming services and player functions. Seriously folks, three machines in a row with the same exact problems, all slowly developed over time becoming useless. Three. In. A. Row. Get a different player, this one is a trap. ... show more
