In general pretty easy to install, but the metal T valve didn't like connecting to my plastic fill valve shank so I changed it out to one with a brass shank and that went easy. A heavier plastic on the part that fits under the seat would give me better piece of mind of it not breaking one day. Operation is simple, not the softest wash but effective. No issue with the temperature of the water. Just make sure you have enough clearance on the side of your toilet as mine currently protrudes out 5" from the seat with the end of the under seat part flush on the other side.

Overall a good product, accept for the plastic fitting on the seat, very easy to cross thread and not get proper seal on the hose fitting. Had to remove and very carefully attach hose fitting, I would recommend that the manufacturer replace the fitting with a better fitting preferably metal like stainless or brass or provide a replacement fitting in the package.

We tried to install it ourselves, but the first toilet was impossible, because it’s a one piece that sits close to the wall. There may be some kind of work around, but Kohler was not able to help. Trying it on a different toilet seemed to work at first, but it kept leaking. We ended up calling a plumber to help, and even he had to make 3 trips to his van to get specialized tools to complete the task! After installation, we’re happy with the seat. The water is cold, esp. this time of year, but that doesn’t really bother us. It’s great to feel clean. Still have to dab with toilet paper to dry off but don’t have to rub at sensitive skin.

Bought this unpowered seat because my new house doesnt have an outlet in range of the toilet. It works but can be quirky to get a proper wash. Seems like the wash nozzle is at too steep of an angle so makes getting that proper wash difficult sometimes. I find I have to adjust all the time to get it right. Otherwise its ok and simple to install and use.

I’ve recently suffered through a brutal back surgery that left me incapable of properly cleaning myself without help. Seeing as how that action is a very personal thing, I was overjoyed to finally purchase and install this Kohler Purewash Manual Bidet Toilet Seat. All I can say is Wow, what a wonderfully refreshing way to thoroughly clean your bottom. No more skid marks in the old undies, and no more funky rear end at the end of the day. This jewel vigorously, and refreshingly washes away all the bacteria that just wiping with toilet paper leaves behind. Because I was unable, I had a plumber install the seat (it would have been easy to do myself if I hadn’t just had back surgery). I do not have an electric outlet near the toilet so I purchased the cold water only bidet seat. I was afraid that the cold water rinse might be a touch off putting, but the spritz is actually very refreshing. My wife loves it and uses it for both front and back hygiene, and our toilet paper usage has been literally cut by 2/3. The savings in toilet paper will make up for the installation cost within a year. I truly wish I’d discovered this means of toilet hygiene five decades ago.
