The Blu-ray player is a perfect fit for my needs. It's small and light weight enough to pack in a suit case for vacations. Set up was easy and the directions/manual was well written and easy to follow. Pairing the remote control to my TV was as simple as holding down 2 buttons on the remote, manual has a list of name brand TV's and which buttons to push. I am a movie buff... and the Sony Blu-ray player fits all my needs for movies on Blu-ray, DVD, or MP4 video files on DVD or USB jump drives. I have used USB jump drives and micro SD cards (using an adapter) from 64GB to 512GB capacity with MP4 movie files and they play flawlessly. Sony's feature of reading higher capacity USB jump drives is a major plus for purchasing this product, other brands of players max out at 128GB. I own three different models of Sony Blu-ray players for my home and all preform excellently. ... show more

    • Seems To Be A Good Unit At a Very Reasonable Price
Bought this as a replacement for a Sony DVD player that I've had connected to my bedroom TV for years. All said, I paid a big $40 for the DVD player so I really got my money's worth until it started freezing up a few weeks ago.. My bedroom TV (a small 20" Samsung) must be about 20 years old and has only one HDMI connection. To use the Blu-Ray and my STB, I had to purchase an HDMI switch/splitter which works like a charm. I've only played a few disc so far and the performance is as good as I could have hoped for considering that the TV is only 720dpi. The remote is small but is about the same size as the one that came with my old DVD player. It would be nice if the buttons were backlighted but they are what they are and I'll get used it the same way as I did the DVD remote. Time will tell how well this unit holds up but if it lasts as long as my old Sony DVD player I'll be more than happy. ... show more

This is a good, compact, simple DVD player. Easy to set up and use. I only use it connected to a TV, so I didn't need anything with a lot of extras.

This is one of the best purchases I have made. The Sony dvd player is so easy to start up, actually the dvd player starts up without any help. A Sony control with batteries is included. The HDMI connection cable is included. The Sony DVD player has a great picture and the sound is awesome!! Great value for the money. As always, this Sony DVD player lives up to its standard. Compact, lightweight and so easy to set up I did not even have to look at the manual. It comes with an extra HD1 cord and remote and worked beautifully off the bat.

Nice Blu-ray player that's easy to install and use. It has a small footprint and doesn't take up much space. Picture and sound quality are great. I like the menu screens and options. Movies load quick and comes with a 5 inch remote that's easy to understand.
