I search for. Cheap 5 g wifi but this kept popping up so I got it cause it said the it can work with 2.4 wifi. Well I really like this device, video looks good, it tells me when human detection is around and a totally different notification sound which is a plus.. love it.fairly easy setup but loading video does take a minute and the bummer only 10 or 16 feet away and has wifi issues. So if I can't find use for it I may have to return it. Update 1/26/25 : I can't return this item for a unforseen solar panel issue by the way all of my 2.4 wifi devises work great with my 5g century link Wif. but I have to many connection issues with this device.

All cameras I have were difficult to setup and this is no different. The app Bluetooth name is TY, not the name of the camera, the app, or the company. Make sure your phone is connected to Bluetooth before you try to set it up! The instructions don't say how to do this, but the location I want for this camera is out of reach of the router, instead it is whitin range of the extender (200+ ft unobstructed). To set it up, go sit by the extender, force your phone to connect to the extender, and do the config as instructed, like yhe extender is your router. The camera PIR recognizes people up to 20ft sure, 30ft sometimes. I set it up too far (30 ft) of the likely path for intruders, I have to find a closer spot to mount it. Otherwise, at 200ft from the expender it is working fine, nice HD image, video.
