I have only had these for a few days. This is my second set and these are better. They came with a different remote, and this remote works better that the remote in the first set. It is cold here (below freezing) and I think that affects the battery a bit. They do work, and time will tell.

First, these are mood lighting. You aren’t going to be reading by this light. I put these over my daughter’s deck and they’re purpose built for that. A day of sunlight will net several hours of nice ambient light for hanging out. The hooks built in to the back of the socket are too flexible to be useful, I just zip tied em up. There are a few lighting options available with the included remote, but for our purpose it is set it and forget it. They come on each night at dusk and are still going by bed time. ... show more

I got these Solar string lights to cover the side boundary walls of my home so that it doesn't have to be in darkness in the evenings. And as I am already using solar string lights in other parts of my home boundaries, While they are incredibly convenient and can be put up in places where it would be very difficult to stretch power cords, however they come with 2 main limitations : - The first one is that that they are not very bright and mostly suitable for highlighting features rather than as a main source of light for illuminating a particular area - The second one is that they do not last very long , In winters you will get about 4-5 hours of light time after dusk and this varies with cloud cover etc and in Summers you will get about 6-7 hrs . You will find that this limitation exists for all solar lighting and and hence should not be viewed as a negative but rather as a limitation/tradeoff of having wire free and power free lights LIKES - They feature a very long 48 ft length which means you can cover a lot of area - Large 1W bulbs mean that they are relatively bright when compared to other solar powered string lights - Large solar panel which means more energy collection for the rather large sized bulbs (in fact they are the same size and wattage as standard corded string lights) - Waterproof .. we've had very heavy rainfall the entire last week and the bulbs and the solar pack all continued to work perfectly fine - When you have a party or know will need lighting for longer hours , then you can unplug the solar unit and charge it manually using a standard USB-C cable - Comes with 8 different lighting modes , you could get more runtime by setting it to one of its pulsing light modes - Comes with a remote as well, something you don't usually find at this price point - Also comes with spare bulbs if a few short out DISLIKES - Once the charge level starts running low , they start flickering which starts getting progressively more pronounced as the battery level falls FINAL THOUGHTS Overall they are very good solar lights with large bulbs and are relatively bright which provide great value for its price.     • Pretty accent lights for the home
These are very pretty and colorful accent lights that are best viewed in the dark of night. Good size solar panel that gives off hours of light, but are limited by current/Winter conditions. If you want them fully charged all the time, you can use the usb port to charge it and supplement with solar. Bulbs are plastic so no worries about dropping and shattering them. I'm hoping that these will stay bright and clear under scorching Summer sun. I like the rgb color function and mode options. Remote is easy to use, but we tend to set it and forget it. This was great for the holidays, but also very suitable for adding fun and whimsy to the home rest of the year. Recommend. ... show more
