They are wide enough for an adult to sit comfortably but narrow enough for practical use. Awful quality. Several acre holes are stripped and inoperable, and certain chair pieces don't even have holes properly punched through for screws to fit. There are light markings from where the machine tried but failed to punch through. Assembly takes forever with the poor quality materials, only for assembly to ultimately be impossible for several chairs due to production defects. Don't buy. ... show more
