I bought this desk because I work from home. Putting it together wasn't bad. Seemed pretty straight forward. It functions great and has lots of room to work with. I have my headset holder, monitor and laptop on it. I still have room and space without it feeling cramped. The drawer for the keyboard works great. Plenty of space for my mouse and keyboard and still have space next to each. The only downfall to it are the wheels. When I finished assembling it, one of the wheels broke in half. They're cheap plastic. I went to the hardware store to replace them and it turns out that because of the screw being metric, they aren't able to get replaced. I ended up removing all the wheels. Overall it's not bad for the price. Just be careful with those wheels when you are using the desk.

Was supposed to fit a king sized bed - WOEFULLY small. Only would have fit a full sized bed at best. Didn't have time to return it before my surgery for which I bought it. MAJOR disappointment.

This does fit over a standard king size bed, so it would work for a cal king too. That being said, The max height should be noted. We purchased this as a head board alternative and it works wonderfully, It also fits over our bed, but only barely because of the height, we have a foam spring hibred mattress on a box spring and a frame so our bed is about 30" high. This only has about a 3" clearance WITHOUT the keyboard assembly. So for our bed there would be no sliding it over to use as a desk while our legs were under it. Whoever said it didn't fit over a king size bed, either received the wrong item, didn't adjust it correctly or failed to make note of the max height of 33.5" (This is a hard limit for this item). The Desk part is only 55" so it isn't as wide as a king size bed. So, before ordering this, make sure of your measurements. For our purpose, it is perfect, sturdy and easy to move and clean under.

It came with no instructions and none of the hardware for the keyboard trey. I measured to make sure it would fit over my bed and although it should have it actually did not. Once it was put together is was unsteady. I'm very upset and disapointed. I work from home but have medical issues so I was very excited to find something that would help me stay comfortable on my hard days. Please do not purchase this desk. You are throwing money away.
