This yarn is a beautiful deep green, a little prone to splitting when crocheting but not badly. The thread size is a nice medium weight, as indicated, and works up nicely. It is soft, seems durable, and knots well without shredding under pressure. I'm using it to make a granny square afghan, white daisies with yellow centers on this deep green background. I think it will look like a summer field. Since I haven't finished the afghan yet I don't know how well it will wash, but it is very similar to other yarn of that size and feel that I have put through both the washer and dryer, and it has done well. UPDATE: After working this yarn for a portion of my project, I wouldn't choose to buy this again. This yarn is beautifully soft and the color is on point as well (I bought pink.) However; as others have noted, the yarn splits like crazy...like it feels like you're crocheting with embroidery floss. Holding taught is the answer - hdc with three loops is a challenge! I am a beginning crocheter and still move fairly slowly and that, I think, will help on this baby blanket project. I an only through one skein and found three connecting knots very close together near the end of the skein. While the number doesn't seem excessive, to find the knots so close together is troublesome. Not sure if I would buy this again?? ... show more

This is very good yarn and feels very soft with a finished product. It does split a little when you’re crocheting. So you have to be somewhat careful to make sure that you’re collecting all the threads. But otherwise I would buy this again in the various colors.
