I'd give it more stars if I could. This machine is amazing. I've had several Addi King Size machines in the past and assumed they couldn't be topped. Boy, was I wrong. I make a lot of hats to donate to charities (1,200 to date just this year), and this Caydo machine will make it so much easier to do them. The variable speeds and the ability to preset the number of rows to be knitted shortens the amount of time to make a hat. It doesn't drop stitches, no matter the brand of yarn being used, and so far it's run all the yarns my Addi doesn't like ... now I can use up even more of my yarn stash. I'll definitely be looking at Caydo when I'm in the market for other items.

I highly recommend this CAYDO yarn knitting machine for beginners for sure. I absolutely appreciate the speed and accuracy of this machine and NO drop stitches. Still a tiny learning curve but it’s a quick one at that. I’m glad I have this to finally be able to use up my yarn pile now to make hats and other things too. Probably mostly hats and blankets.

I’m really enjoying this knitting machine because it has made knitting feel so much more approachable for me. I wanted to be able to make my own hats and scarves for my family, especially using cotton yarn because some of the traditional yarns can feel itchy and uncomfortable against the skin. Being able to choose the yarn myself is a big part of why I wanted a machine like this, and the fact that I can get projects finished so quickly makes it even better. The biggest surprise for me was just how easy it is to operate. I don’t have years of knitting experience, and I definitely wouldn’t consider myself an expert, but I was able to understand what I was supposed to be doing without feeling completely lost. The instructions provided with the machine are very clear and easy to follow. Everything is explained in a straightforward way, which makes a huge difference when you’re learning something new. There really isn’t a big learning curve here. Once I understood the basic process, I could get into a rhythm and let the machine do the repetitive part of the knitting. Instead of sitting there manually counting stitches and worrying about whether I made a mistake somewhere along the way, the machine keeps everything moving consistently. That has been one of my favorite things about it because I can actually enjoy the creative part without constantly second-guessing every stitch. The turnaround time is also much faster than I expected. Hand knitting a full hat or scarf can take quite a while, especially when you’re still learning, but this machine speeds the process up considerably. It’s really satisfying to start with a ball of yarn and see an actual knitted piece taking shape in front of me. It makes handmade projects feel much more achievable instead of something I need to dedicate weeks to finishing. I especially like the idea of using cotton yarn for my family’s hats and scarves. Everyone has different preferences when it comes to how yarn feels, and I’m not a fan of making something that looks beautiful but ends up sitting in a closet because it feels scratchy. With this machine, I can choose softer cotton yarn and make pieces that are more comfortable for the people who will actually wear them. I can also choose different colors depending on who I’m making something for, which makes the finished pieces feel much more personal. Another thing I appreciate is the consistency. I haven’t had to worry about accidentally dropping a stitch or creating an uneven section because I got distracted. The machine keeps the knitting process moving in a very uniform way, which is particularly helpful for someone without much knitting experience. It gives my finished projects a much more polished appearance than I would probably achieve trying to knit everything by hand right now. I think this is a great option for beginners who want to get into knitting without first spending a huge amount of time learning all the techniques involved. The clear instructions, simple operation, and quick results make it much less intimidating. I can see myself making hats, scarves, and other little knitted projects for my family, experimenting with different cotton yarns and colors as I go. For me, the biggest win is that I don’t need to already know how to knit to start making things. I can pick out a comfortable yarn, follow the instructions, operate the machine, and actually have something handmade at the end. It takes a hobby that can seem complicated and makes it much more accessible, while still giving me the fun of choosing my own yarn and creating things specifically for my family.

Whether you have owned a circular knitting machine or not, this machine is for everyone. Straight out of the box, it was easy to assemble. The instruction manual was very informative with words and pictures. I've already made a hat and ear covers with it. I used Caron Simply Soft yarn with the machine (note: the yarn will separate threads if the tension isn't just right and consistent with Caron Simply Soft yarn). Definitely looking forward to expirementing more!

I knew basically nothing about knitting before getting this, and this has been an amazing way to jump in without spending two weeks knitting on something only to discover I messed it up somewhere along the way. This machine can do both tubular and flat knitting - it doesn't automatically punch out a beanie or anything (that's just my ignorance showing). So far I’ve only used the tubular setting to make beanies, and it comes with pretty much everything you need to get started. I actually read the instructions for once, and they’re surprisingly clear. From opening the box to having a finished knitted cap took me about 45 minutes, and a good chunk of that was just figuring everything out, closing the top, and adding the little pom-pom. The actual knitting part went ridiculously fast. The machine itself is built better than I expected. It’s mostly ABS plastic, but it has some weight to it and doesn’t feel fragile. The hooks feel solid too, which was important to me because I was worried this would be one of those things where one little piece snaps and suddenly the whole machine is useless. So far, that hasn’t been a concern at all. I originally got this because I thought it would be a surprise to make Christmas presents for people (I'm a 240 lb bald dude, so a knitted beanie from me...well, you get the idea), and now I’m getting sucked into the whole knitting thing. My wife, who actually knows what she’s doing, thinks she could crank out a beanie in around 10 minutes once everything is set up. If you make hats for an Etsy shop or anything like that, this thing could basically turn you into a little beanie factory. What I really like is that it gives you that immediate payoff. You can learn the process, make something useful, and actually see a finished result without a huge time investment. For a beginner like me, that made the hobby way more approachable and fun. This thing works really well, feels thoughtfully designed, and is just a lot of fun to use. If you know someone who knits, or someone who wants to get into it without starting completely from scratch, this would make a fantastic gift.
