These machines are worth every penny. The only downfall is that the crank gives if you use it to much. You have to go slow because the crank is plastic and the friction heats up the plastic and the crank stops working. Hopefully they will improve the model.

Edit: 6 months later it constantly drops stitches or just refuses to hook the working yarn in a few places. Causing me to restart what I’m working on. All these issues I would purchase another one but I’m saving for a bigger one Love this knitting machine as someone with a hand disability who loves to crochet and kit. It has given me the ability to make things again I will say however that the stitch counter after the third hat became faulty it still works fine otherwise. That is the only issue I have encountered

Regardless of how cheap it feels it gets the job done. If not place properly it will move and shift alot which can be annoying. Also use the tension piece it really makes the piece look best. Please stick to size of threading recommended (i just watch yt) which is about a size 3oz is the most or thin and well twisted 4oz thread being max. If more then this it will cause lots of missing threading from the machine. Also type of thread matters(from experience) anything that causes lots of frictions(like yarn with the shine thread) may not knitt well. Many projects to do, yt helps alot. I've made 2 set of baby hat with mitts and socks and a matching mom hat. 1 bunny hat(i just made on a whim) 2 reversible hat with holes at the top for hair to pop out(also on a whim). 1 infinity scarf. Around 10 hats (kits and adults) about a little over a month time. (Sizing for hats just matters on what you want to no set measurements that i did since i noticed depending on the yarn and the tension i used i may need more or less rows) Also currently im trying to figure out on how to use the machine to knit stuffies with my extra yarns and i gotta say im soo in love with them💕 Super fun if you want a small one to interact with (maybe 6+). My nephew was soo into spinning the machine want it was perfectly safe for him. Not all projects was provided in the photos since i forgot to take a few.

We had originally bought the one from Micheals that was almost $90. It was always dropping stitches, it would get jammed and the handle wouldn't budge at all. We tried all the different types of yarn on it and only like 2 would "properly" work if that. It was also incredibly loud when turning it. The legs would also constantly pop out when your trying to hold on to it. You also only get one small size needle and one tiny crochet hook that barely grabbed on to anything. This one works like a charm! It's a lot less quoter when turning it. There's a lot less stitches being dropped. But if you're paying close attention, it pretty much does it perfectly. The legs actually screw in so when you're holding it, the legs don't pop out when you're trying to turn the hold it. We haven't had the chance to use the small suction cups that come with it. But I would assume they work pretty decently as long as you're not rough housing it. I also love that it comes with different size of needles. This one actually feels like it was worth buying and is actually worth what I paid for it.

This is not worth your money. Hi! I’m a senior in high school, and for my senior project I wanted to crochet hats and scarves for the homeless and thought this would help me move my production speed faster. Well! This 60$ machine, yes that’s how much I had to pay for this, is very irritating. If you do not have a certain yarn, there will be several dropped stitches. And I mean a lot. On average I had 7-12 dropped stitches per row. You can imagine my frustration when I have to stop every 5 seconds to manually put them back on the hook. I even searched up different YouTube videos to see if the tension or something else was the problem, but nope! It’s the yarn that’s the problem. Not only that but this machine would jam on absolutely nothing. I know this because I’ve had problems where the yarn would tangle and not go through or there was a knot that was too big, but after the twelfth hat I made, it started making this loud noise and would not move for 30s-a minute constantly. For a 60$ machine this thing sure is cheaply made. The tension guard broke while I was in the middle of making a scarf, as well as the handle seeming like it was coming off. Do not buy this! It is not worth your money, find a more high quality product that is worth your time.

I was really excited about this knitting machine and I did have to watch a few YouTube videos to really get the hang of how I can use it without the stitches slipping off. It makes great products when everything is going well. I don’t like that it clicks or seems to be have a hard time with the first five rows in a new project when doing in the round. I have not tried the flat panel feature for this I only knit in the round. I have probably made about 20 or less beanies and unfortunately the row counter was off by a few rows and now it completely doesn’t work at all. Quite disappointing that I’ve had it for under a month and the stitch counter feature already does not work. I’m considering returning and purchasing a Addi knitting machine instead. The suction feet are okay as far as keeping it in place while not in use, however when using I have to hold it down with one hand and crank with the other. The suction cups slide around on the surface so although the machine does not lift, it does not stay in place which affects the tension. I would recommend Velcro or clamps to hold in place on the table like I saw in some YouTube videos however I have not tried either. This machine isn’t that great of a value.

tldr This is a great starter machine. There's a learning curve, don't give up if you're dropping stitches or struggling with panels. You'll get it. The Addi 46 pin is more flexible on yarn types, but those are significantly more expensive. -- I really enjoy this! I've been using it for 7 months, and I haven't gone easy on it. There is a learning curve for tension and watching for dropped stitches. Panels are difficult at first, but I got the hang of it. I tried using all different kinds of yarn and there are definitely specific yarns that the machine hates. It likes the size 4 yarn a lot. I pushed it to use size 5 and the machine was angry the whole time. The row counter is a joke and I removed it. But I knew that going into it after watching videos. I did purchase an Addi 46 pin after using this for 6 months. That machine is more flexible with yarns and the kinds of projects I can make. I use the Addi 46 pin more than the Sentro 48 pin. But I still enjoy using the Sentro for some projects, especially if I want to work on 2 projects at the same time.
