I got this back in January and at first was real frustrated with it. There is a learning curve to it. I only use it in panel mode, not circular. The most important thing is to watch the edges. You really want to give tighter tension on the first stitch of each row so you get a nice edge. Also you want the Sentro to be secure on whatever surface you put it on. Clamp it down. Any kind of shakiness can cause tucked or dropped stitches. As far as those go, check every several rows to make sure you don't have any. If you do, fix it asap. There are a lot of good youtube videos on fixing tucked/dropped stitches. Is the Sentro knitting? not really. You do make a knitted piece of fabric, but it's all cranking. The real thing Sentro does is makes you DESIGN what you choose from basic boring stockinette stitch panels. There are a lot of youtube channels out there - Emily Smith, Creative Yarn by Fabi, Lily Foubisou, Katieree that will give you some ideas on how to use Sentro. Also get yourself a digital counter. It’s a bit hard to use at first however once you’ve done your research and it watched a couple YouTube videos or articles on how to use this machine, it becomes the easiest thing ever. This machine has absolutely ruined me as hand knitting now seems like a chore. Took me a few tries to get the hang of the panel setting but I eventually got it. I'm halfway through a cute sweater and I'm really pleased. It's so fast! Anyway, I recommend this machine. It's a good buy.

We had originally bought the one from Micheals that was almost $90. It was always dropping stitches, it would get jammed and the handle wouldn't budge at all. We tried all the different types of yarn on it and only like 2 would "properly" work if that. It was also incredibly loud when turning it. The legs would also constantly pop out when your trying to hold on to it. You also only get one small size needle and one tiny crochet hook that barely grabbed on to anything. This one works like a charm! It's a lot less quoter when turning it. There's a lot less stitches being dropped. But if you're paying close attention, it pretty much does it perfectly. The legs actually screw in so when you're holding it, the legs don't pop out when you're trying to turn the hold it. We haven't had the chance to use the small suction cups that come with it. But I would assume they work pretty decently as long as you're not rough housing it. I also love that it comes with different size of needles. This one actually feels like it was worth buying and is actually worth what I paid for it. ... show more

Adult friendly but preteen age got very frustrated as the yarn comes loose and you have to start over a lot. Even watched videos. Not a bad product just younger kids might get frustrated. Make sure you use nice quality yarn not thin cheap stuff.

I was really excited about this knitting machine and I did have to watch a few YouTube videos to really get the hang of how I can use it without the stitches slipping off. It makes great products when everything is going well. I don’t like that it clicks or seems to be have a hard time with the first five rows in a new project when doing in the round. I have not tried the flat panel feature for this I only knit in the round. I have probably made about 20 or less beanies and unfortunately the row counter was off by a few rows and now it completely doesn’t work at all. Quite disappointing that I’ve had it for under a month and the stitch counter feature already does not work. I’m considering returning and purchasing a Addi knitting machine instead. The suction feet are okay as far as keeping it in place while not in use, however when using I have to hold it down with one hand and crank with the other. The suction cups slide around on the surface so although the machine does not lift, it does not stay in place which affects the tension. I would recommend Velcro or clamps to hold in place on the table like I saw in some YouTube videos however I have not tried either. This machine isn’t that great of a value. ... show more
