  • Wonderful Product

Works Great!! Nice quality product.

  • This is a pretty cool little unit
Style: Express Pattern Name: Single
This is pretty easy to work with. The instructions are very simple and the option of being able to not only do rounds, but to have it to stop to do "flat panels" is a major plus. You have to work with it to get used to how it operates and discover the speed for the yarn, so you don't drop any stiches. It does a nice job, all the stiches are even and with the flip of the little switch on the side, you can do the flat (square) panels. That will take a touch of practice and learning the individual machines speed for the type of yarn you will be using. I have both the King size and this one, of which they both operate the exact same. I highly recommend this for your projects, but I also want to stress, you must practice with it and get the feel of how it operates, before you make any final projects. As with everything, you must experiment with it before you have exactly what you hope to accomplish with it. The small one is large enough to do scarves or baby caps and small flat panels, but if you want to use this, straight from the knitter, for an adult size knitted hat, it won't fit an adult head with this diameter. What you can do is, run the lengths through for an adult head and then put them side by side to crochet or knit together. The King size Addi, this will most definitely fit an adult head and still give you some flexibility with your cap. It is also fabulous for making sleeves to sweaters, if you want to do sweaters, with the sleeves fitting the arms with a loose or roomy fit. This small unit will do very well for socks, baby clothes (sleeves) or multi-tube scarves. These units are not cheap made and the quality of the design is well thought out. But, once again, before you make a final judgement on how it works, play with it for a bit to see what the individual unit does and determine the speed to turn the handle, as the thickness of your yarn will make all the difference on the speed of turning it. It does take patience to get the hang of it, but once you do, you will use it all the time. I also use the flat bed knitters, that you mount to a table and slide back and forth, so I'm experienced in what works and doesn't with these kinds of knitting units. Patience is the key to make it work exactly the way you want it too. Thanks. ... show more

  • Reliable, great quality knitting machine.
Style: Express Pattern Name: Single
Love this, I use it for making little kitchen scrubbers. Not the quietest knitting machine for sure, but I have not had any needles break on me yet. It does come with spare needles as well should that happen. Much better quality than some of the other knitting machines on the market.

  • Paying a little more for quality pays off in ease of use and available online help via YouTube.
Style: Express Pattern Name: Single
Love this machine! I originally bought this to make socks for my mom. I loved being able to pick out the softest, warmest, beautiful yarns and create them with love. It was so easy and fast, that I started making them for myself and then for other family members. There are so. many YouTube videos that give all kinds of tips and ideas that I found myself spending hours learning new and creative ways to make things. What a joy it is to get results so quickly and feel productive. ... show more

Love it. Need to get the bigger one. Too expensive for me now

  • Broke a needle and a bit noisy
Style: Express Pattern Name: Single
Rarely drops stitches if you use something that has some stretch to it. Do not advise cotton, bamboo, etc. Used a thicker #4-5 yarn and snapped a needle right off. I've made lots of premie hats on this with ease. The flat panels are definitely a learning curve a lot more than the circular. Just a bit more to make sure the edges are working correctly and not dropping. I've made bunnies on this (and a big poofy dinosaur on the king size. I use this size a lot for making dye blanks. Wind into tubes, dye yarn, and pull out and roll into balls to use on a project. The winding does do some harsh wear on your shoulder. Needs an adapter for most yarns to help with tension. You can find a tension fork here on Amazon for cheap. ... show more

  • Perfect for small projects and I-cords
Style: Express Pattern Name: Single
The Addi Egg is a handy little tool! It’s great for making i-cords, quick repairs, or adding small details to larger projects. It’s compact, easy to use, and works best with lightweight yarns. There’s a bit of a learning curve with tension, but once you get the hang of it, it cranks smoothly. Perfect for crafters who like quick, satisfying projects or need a reliable i-cord maker. ... show more

  • Way too expensive to not work out of the box!
Style: Express Pattern Name: Single
The media could not be loaded. Keeps pulling through the middle of the yarn on the cast on resulting in dropped stitches, broken yarn, and hard knitting. I bought a sentro that I thought was garbage but at least I was able to knit 3 hats before it started being a piece of garbage. I've been trying to knit on the addi for 3 hours and none of the "hacks" or tutorials are helping. Still having issue after issue. The hooks are too loose in the machine for accurate knitting and the yarn spout is too wide for the hooks to consistently catch the yarn. Don't waste your money. If you have to have one, buy a 70s version... ... show more
