This fan/light combo is great. It gives good light and the fan has a few speeds and works really well. It has great reception with the remote control. It is so simple to use, just screw it in to a regular sized light bulb socket. I wanted this to work so bad because it is a great product, I even bought the adapters so it would fit where we currently have a GU10 bulb. It worked good and I could definitely feel the wind blowing but my wiring is set up weird. It has no support, just wires that hold the gu10 buld in with a cap on, so when I put the adapter and fan on it was too heavy and would hang awkwardly and sway when it was on. I called an electrician and it was a lot of work and money to make it work in that particular spot so I had to return it. I wish so bad it had worked there, I definitely would have kept it. I recommend it to people with a regular light bulb socket. ... show more

Hey guys I’m back today I I am reviewing this socket fan light this socket fan light has a remote control and that’s all I know but I’ll love that they installed it Downrod. It’s all started at Christmas give us a special thing called a socket thing like I’m actually never even seen this thing before besides this socket fan light I thought it was like a fan like a normal fan like you know how much space they take up well this fan does not even take up that much space they only takes up like about 3 inches so maybe like 2 1/2 inches The only dislike about this fan is that is kind of noisy on a high but I don’t care some people say that they are having problems like the fan won’t spin like it’s making like noises like wailing noises but maybe you could just take apart the plate and put it back on it’s probably real tricky anyways but maybe you could do it knock the plate no the blade of the fan because if you want to check that it’s noisy or not just take them off So this fan will actually blow you off because this fan is so powerful actually I was not even expecting that to be so powerful well at first it wasn’t so powerful whenever I put it in my room PS my closet and because of that I was thinking of putting that in the shed and it didn’t really work out until I decided to put it in here for a reveal on Amazon so who knows what may happen change the next like two years or so but if you’re actually pulling that off maybe you should just go ahead and buy a different socket thing not desktop it mean like but I’m not a socket feel like that would work better but it’s but this fan is amazing so amazing I mean like I can you I know I keep on saying this but it’s just so amazing the only comment that I would make is that guy would think it’s probably like a little less control than you think it is not like let’s control but like less Retro and by retro I mean like the fan in the videos and the pictures that I took it was like wow and I cannot wait to get back from my trip so good luck and enjoy the video PS the whole thing about it was in my closet while it was on high it almost completely fell to the ground and almost broke so that’s why I almost gave up.     • Pretty good but missing one important feature that's I'd like to have.
This socket fan works ok but I really don't like the fact that the only way to have the light OFF and leave the fan ON is by switching the socket ON and turning the light off with the remote. The reason is when you come into the dark bathroom you have to search for the remote and turn on the light that way. The remote can be installed right next to the door so that's not the problem. The problem is seeing what button to push to turn on the light in the dark. Other socket fans let you flip on the switch once to turn on the light only... or flip it again to turn on the light & fan or flip it again to turn off both. This particular socket fan does not have that feature. When entering a dark bathroom it's much easier to reach for the wall switch and flip it than it is to look for the remote then push the right button on the remote. Other than that the other features are fine. The fan is quiet and the brightness settings allow us to simply put it on the dimmest setting and leave it on all the time. Easier than doing the remote search and press each time we enter the bathroom. Super easy to install. they give you not one but two extenders which are required for recessed lighting sockets. If you can screw in a light bulb you can install this socket fan/light combo. ... show more

Although i wish the blades were just a little longer i am pleased with these two fans. They seem to be well built and are very stable while running. The light and fan speed can operate independently and the three settings of both light and fan is cool. i am pleasantly surprised how well they circulate the air on the slowest speed. They are located in my 1500 sq feet basement in the middle two of six light sockets. I open my egress slider window on my Northwest area of the wall and the smaller window on the west wall to aid in air circulation while i do aerobic exercises such as running when i don’t want to run outside. These two fans are amazing. They actually make it feel as though i have my Central Air on, especially in the first couple of miles of running. I plan on purchasing a few for Christmas gifts. As long as the supply chain, etc don’t run up the cost. They are a little pricey, but they operate very nicely. I have only used them once while exercising because i just received them so the jury is still out with respect to durability and longevity. The remote controls will operate either fan and i placed one at each end of my basement for convenience. I simply set the fans and lights to fit my needs and turn them on and off with the light switch. i purchased the white ones. i noticed other colors increase the price. But i like the white in my basement. I recommend these to anyone considering buying. To note: the one fan on the side of my basement where my 3x5 Trump flag is hanging is about 10 feet from the flag and yet on the slowest speed the flag waves. i did use one socket extension for each fan because my ceiling is high, but the fan is very still and stable on all speeds. NOTE: I was going to buy three more for my garage but Amazon increased the price $10 to $49.95. Are you kidding me?! My original purchase date about 8/22/24, was $39.95 each. I found the same fans on Home Depot’s site for the original purchase price at Amazon just a couple days ago for $39.95. Buyer beware! ... show more

    • A big fan of this cool little device!!!
It works very well! It’s really quiet — I was careful to screw it in solidly and thought two extensions might cause it to wobble… Will test that at some point, but as is—I don’t hear a thing. A larger fan may have been better— but if you have to hire someone to install it, the cost will probably triple. I was thrilled with this solution. In an intense heatwave like we’ve been having for a couple weeks at least now, no single fan could take care of the heat & humidity in NYC where during these awful bouts of really hot wearher—nights barely cool down at all. But combined with other fans or A/C you’re blowing into your bedroom from the Living room, it’s very pleasant. And when the weather is milder, it will be perfect to provide some circulation. I almost fell off the ladder though when it dawned on me my 1930s apartment building has overhead lights ( once they were gas fueled) that have a plaster cast design to hold three globe bulbs. I’d already planned to remove two bulbs, use one extendender—but I never thought about the pull chain!! For a minute, I thought I had blown it… but then I saw a short break where the longer chain had been attached to the very short one, realized the fan blades wouldn’t hit that short one, so I removed the long chain, pulled the power on for the fan with the short chain that I could only reach while way up there on the ladder, and tried the remote when I was floor level again. Voila! Works perfectly. The remote solved everything So i will definitely buy others— definitely one for the small room that’s my office— It will be perfect there! If my enthusiasm speaks to you… I highly recommend this ingenious light / overhead fan. It’s really great — a wonderful idea. I’d only suggest to Bell & Howell to work on the bulb color — and I know I’m not alone. I made a point to buy the light that said Warm color— and can’t imagine what cool must be like. It’s most Iunpleasant on bright, better on dim, but then not good for finding things or cleaning there. Not a deal breaker — have another light Alexa can turn on for me, but it would be nice if it were bright, without feeling as if you’re standing in front of one of those gas stations that bathe you in such extremely bright, cool, intense white light that it feels you must be in the spotlight of some observing agent on another planet! ... show more

UPDATE: We have been using this fan daily and it still works great. I have removed the fan and cleaned the blades once, but I'm a bit OCD about that kind of stuff. Still, it's important to keep the blades clean. It still works just as well and has not become any more noisy so that's a plus. Given how much we use it I believe it's a solid item. EDIT: The fan worked OK in our recessed fixture, but it was too close to the ceiling so it was starving for intake air. It was pushing air out laterally instead of straight down. I purchased a receptacle adaptor at Lowes for $3.50 which lowered the light approximately 2.25 inches. The improvement was dramatic. The air stream now comes straight down and where I was using the fan mostly on the 2nd speed to feel the flow, I can now feel great air flow on speed 1. I highly recommend this addition to improve the fan's performance dramatically. I added a couple of pictures to show the adaptor. We bought this to install over the toilet in our Master suite. The installation was just as expected, super easy with no tools needed. Just push the 4 blades into place and then screw into your existing receptacle. Our intended use is to leave the light on, fan off, and control the light from the switch as normal. If the fan is desired, then we just push the button on the remote to the desired setting. The remote was mounted on the wall with double sided tape (included) and is somewhat out of view, though you can see it in the pictures on the left side. The fan makes a bit more noise than I first anticipated, but to be fair, it is not as loud as the exhaust fan so it's really not an issue. Even on high, the fan only moves a small amount of air which again, is pretty much what we expected. We were looking more for circulation than a high amount of volume. So, for now, we are rating it 5 stars for everything. The only thing remaining is the durability and reliability. Hopefully it will excel at both. Highly recommended as long as you don't expect more than it's capable of producing. ... show more

I received two lights that I ordered. They were well-packaged and very easy to assemble. The fans produce a little noise, but nothing major, as others have noted. They came with two pole extenders, which help lower the fan from the ceiling to circulate air much better than just having one pole extender. I would have given this 5 stars, but the lights said they were 3500K, which is a warmer light, and these are on the bright white side, which doesn't match the rest of my lights. Other than that, these lights are great, and you can use one remote to control both fans or your existing light switch. I have a 3-way dimmer slide and rocker switch for off and on, but the dimmer doesn't work since my switch isn't an LED switch. I will be changing this out soon. ... show more
