Features

  • New Design of Firewood Splitter: The blade is made of cast steel that will make the blade extremely durable. Cast steel is stronger and harder, its far less prone to rust than cast iron. The bracket is composed of steel bars, which is extremely tough material, so even if you hit the stand when you're chopping wood, it will not cause damage.
  • Safety and Stability: Our kindle tool features bolt holes on the base so it can be fixed to stump or other anchor. This provides extra stability and height for even more efficient splitting. The base plate is specially made of steel, so its very good stability and sturdy.
  • Easy to Use: Simply place the log in our splitter / cracker. The metal rail holds the wood in place. Then hit down on the wood with a hammer, mallet or even another piece of wood. There are no dangerous blades yet it cuts logs easily with minimal labor.
  • Multiple Uses: The wood splitter is not only perfect for your backyard stack of firewood, but also is handy for camping, fireplace, pizza oven, sauna, barbecue, etc.
  • Size And Weight: Our firewood cracker weight is 10lbs. 7 inches inside the diameter top ring. The base diameter is 9.5 inches. So it is easy to take it to the bonfire, camping trip or other activities.

  • Good quality, heavy-duty. I beat the heck out of this thing.
Size: 9 Inch
I needed to split a large oak tree that I cut down last year into usable firewood. Before buying this splitter, I used a heavy splitting axe for several pieces, then considered renting a hydraulic log splitter after I determined I'm not in my 20's any longer and I don't do log splitting videos on tik Tok for a living. Before trading in my manhood for a machine that would do it for me, I tried this device on the account my wife said I would still look manly using this splitter. Boy did I use and abuse this thing, and it held up pretty well. I would say it will split anything less than 6" diameter like butter. I was using a 6-lb sledgehammer to hit the wood into the splitter. Anything bigger than 6" was actual work, but it did it. I tested the limit with the largest log I could fit in there, maybe 9-10". I was spent after that, but it did the job and held up. Only knock, if you will, is the foot came bent from the foundry and the sharp splitting edge will get knicks after heavy use or glancing blow from the hammer. Since it's a splitter and not a cutter, a perfect edge does not matter. Holds up to abuse, so I'm very happy and would recommend for guys like me who still want to feel manly whilst accomplishing some goals. ... show more

  • Making fire wood
Size: 9 Inch
I was able to split most logs for our wood stove.

  • Great option if you'd rather swing a hammer than an axe.
Size: 7 Inch
Tired of the wood sticking to your axe? This is the product for you! It will sometimes bounce around and you'll have to stop to set it up again. And I keep hitting the blade with my hammer, which leaves clear blunt sections on the blade. But does an excellent job on logs not too big or not too small. ... show more

  • Good kindling maker
Size: 7 Inch
It is very helpful to turn wood into kindling. We've already been using one at our primary house and now bought a second to take to our lake house

  • Can't Chop Your Finger Off With This!
Size: 7 Inch
I highly recommend purchasing the 4 lb sledge hammer with this. I split our entire years worth of kindling in less than a week. Just had to find the correct size split firewood. They couldn't be too big or they would get wedged in the splitter and would require knocking them out from the underside. I have been pre-splitting kindling for years and have nearly split a finger using an old hatchet that needed sharpening or a piece of wood that wouldn't stand up without holding it up with the other hand. Using this unit ends all those issues. Would recommend having a solid surface underneath. You are pounding a piece of wood into a metal wedge after all. ... show more

  • What I expected, convenient
Size: 7 Inch
I expected something to split dry wood for kindling and this splits dry wood for kindling. Most wood is fairly easy to split, a few pieces can be tough; it depends on the piece of wood. I have had more success than difficulty. This has saved money both on buying kindling wood and on bandages from trying to do it with a hatchet or a chisel (both less safe and less stable). The safety ring is large enough to fit wood that is likely to split safely with this item. If you are trying to do major log splitting, yeah, this isn't the right tool. But if you want to make smaller pieces of wood out of already split reasonable size logs to help start your fire, you have come to the right place. Five stars for doing what it is supposed to do, and making my life easier. Take with a grain of salt the people complaining that this is not an effective log splitter; it's not supposed to be. Also, it is very clear this comes without fasteners; that is up to you to decide whether and how to attach this to a surface. ... show more

  • Very easy and effective
Size: 7 Inch
After losing multiple tree limbs to an ice storm, I decided to make firewood for next year instead of using a tree service to remove the wood. I mounted the splitter using 2 inch lag bolts to an old piece of wood that became part of the landscape over the years. I used my saw to cut logs of about 15 inches in length to fit the fireplace. Logs ranged from about 3 to 6 inches in diameter. I used this device by placing a log on the blade and giving it a couple small taps with a 4lb hammer to embed it enough to stand up on its own. From there, it only took 2-3 big whacks with the hammer to split the logs in half. I repeated the process twice more for the larger logs to make quarters. Either way, this is an effective tool that just simply works as advertised. It's also very reasonably priced. Once I finish splitting all the wood I cut, it'll pay for itself with firewood I don't need to purchase. ... show more
