So, I was super skeptical of this. My sister recommended it to me after helping me research snow shovels. Here’s my take from the recent 12/14 snow storm in Southwest Ohio USA: Pros: - It tore through the heavy snow at the end of the drive way. - Moves light fluffy snow with ease. - I found the device cumbersome at first but once you get it going, it moves and glides on the ground easily and did a great job moving the snow. I think once I get used to using it, it’ll be easier to use. - It took me less than 30 minutes to shovel walkways and a small parking area around my car and exit to the street. - Batteries held up and kept their charge, and I probably still have an hour or two left of use. Cons: - The shovel is not lightweight, so I don’t think it is any easier than a normal shovel. It is still a workout. But it is just pushing. My driveway isn’t very level so maybe that’s why it was more difficult (the cement walk ways were far easier). - I wish there was more of a guard on the top to better help with the direction of the snow. I didn’t find that it mattered or helped all that much the directional lever in sending the snow in any particular direction. - Maybe wheels to help anchor it? I’m not sure that would help but it’s a pain to drag and carry around. Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase. I thought this was going to be a waste of money, but it functions effectively and got the job done. I’ll go out later and touch up with a shovel for closer to my car. It was also super easy to assemble; it took me 10 minutes! Oh, do use this with safety goggles as it will kick up tiny bits of gravel here and there.

Tremendous Snow shovel! The minute I received it, I immediately put it together and went out and cleared my huge deck of 4 inches of snow. I was done in no time, not even breaking a sweat. It is a light duty tool that does what I need. I have small areas to work in. It clears snow in some spaces better than a hand shovel. It does not scrape all the way to the ground. What little it leaves is easily cleared with a shovel. I never expected it to break and throw ice. It does handle the wet packed snow. It works better than I thought it would. The "unlock" button is a good safety. But, it is on the left side of the handle. It is designed for right hand use. I discovered that once the button and the "trigger" are pressed, the button can be released. While holding the "trigger", I can shift to a left hand grip. That helps to get different angles. I like that it came with two (2) batteries. It helpful that the batteries have quick check lights to indicate the charge levels. Overall, I am glad I got it. It was well worth the money.

Overall this does a pretty good job of exactly the use case it describes. Fresh, fluffy snow less than 6 inches it can handle well. Where I ran in to some annoyance was anything that was already stepped on, or slightly melted by the sun and heavier would tend to jam up the auger on the machine. I had thought the battery dies at one point but after swapping to the second charged battery I couldn't get it to function and realized that behind the plastic auger there was a chunk of slushy snow that I guess it did not have the power to move any further so I had to pull out the battery and pull the chunk out. I do like how light it is, and it's relatively easy to operate, although as someone who is left handed it was a little frustrating to hit the safety button that is setup to be for a right handed thumb. I also had some difficulty getting it to stay at the correct angle for a clean sweep of the snow. One more big heads up is that this only throws snow directly in front of you - so the powdery snow can get thrown around if it's windy, and you have to have a certain setup where you're using it to make it functional. Thin walkways are best done across the thin part even though that's a bit more annoying otherwise you just throw snow right in front of you again. Wide driveways are not a great use case. Overall probably not a great value for people who get heavy snow or a big area to cover, but useful for someone with a small area to clear and to use it right after it snows

I was really excited to use this. We finally got a significant snowfall and it took quite some time to clear our small driveway but it worked well for the sidewalk. Went to use it the next day and it wouldn’t turn on and smelled like burning and started smoking. Not safe and waste of money! 💸
