The CD-X9B is an excellent, compact "all-in-one" choice if you are looking for a basic device to enjoy a physical CD collection, tune into local FM radio, or occasionally stream a playlist from your phone. It's great as a low-fuss desk, kitchen, or bedside companion, provided you don't move it around while playing discs. Key Features & Specifications Media Playback: Supports standard CDs, CD-R, CD-RW, and CD-MP3 formats. Radio: Digital FM tuner (87.5–108MHz) with up to 18 programmable station presets and a physical telescopic, rotatable antenna. I purchased the Greadio Boombox Portable CD Player because I was looking for a small portable radio with USB function to use in my bedroom and to take along on trips. I am very picky when it comes to sound quality of small units, but I thought I would give this radio a try. And after trying it out, I absolutely LOVE this portable player. The sound quality is amazingly good despite of its small compact size. The sound is rich and clear. The unit is small, lightweight and portable. So far I have only used it with the power cord, but it can also be used with batteries to take along on trips or to different rooms. It is very easy to operate. It comes with instructions that are easy to understand. I love the USB stick feature. I have a ton of CDs and added them to a USB flash drive. When you select the USB function, it will immediately start playing the music. You can select playing the music in order, just random songs from one folder, or all folders in random order. Since I use it in my bedroom, I especially love the sleep timer feature. You can choose 90 minutes or less and the unit will automatically turn off once the time passed. It does not come with a remote control, but the buttons on the unit are easy to use and the LED display is good to read. The only complaint I have is that it does not have AM radio. It has a FM radio with manual controls and an antenna. The radio stations are easy to find and the sound is fantastic. It also plays CDs and has Bluetooth. I can highly recommend this player.

I picked up this Greadio boombox as a second unit after a great experience with another model from the same brand. And once again, I’m impressed. For anyone who still enjoys throwing in a CD and letting the music fill the room, this unit delivers solid performance in a sleek, lightweight package. Pros: • Super lightweight — It doesn’t have a built-in lithium battery, which probably explains the low weight. It runs on C-type batteries (not included), making it easy to carry around for outdoor use if you have those on hand. • Impressive sound quality for the size — The footprint is a bit bigger than a standard CD case, but the highs and mids are crisp, and the sound remains clean even at higher volumes. Don’t expect booming bass, but what it does offer is well-balanced and pleasant. • User-friendly — You can get it up and running without even cracking the manual. The buttons are intuitive, and the overall layout is smartly designed. By trial and error I even figured out how to save and load preset radio stations. • Shockproof CD playback — This feature is no gimmick. I tested it during a short car ride, and the music didn’t skip, even over potholes. You’d have to really shake it hard to make it stutter. • Convenient front-facing ports — Unlike many boomboxes that tuck USB or AUX ports in the back, this one keeps everything upfront and easy to access. Small touch, but it makes a difference. • Excellent customer service — I had an issue with a different Greadio product and their rep Lois was fantastic — quick to respond and genuinely helpful. That kind of support builds loyalty, and it’s a big reason I came back to Greadio. Cons: • The CD lid doesn’t open very wide, which can make it tricky for those with larger hands to load/unload discs. • The LED display stays on when a CD stops playing, unless you use the sleep timer. I wish there was an option to turn the display or the backlight off manually. • Bass is modest — not completely absent, but probably not enough to satisfy those who want deep, thumping lows. • No remote control, no Bluetooth transmitter (the player can work as a Bluetooth receiver, though) — not dealbreakers, but it would’ve been a nice addition for modern convenience. Most of the cons are either design trade-offs or personal preferences, and none of them are serious enough to take away from the overall experience. For a compact, well-rounded boombox, this is a great little machine. Whether you’re listening to CDs, plugging in via AUX, or streaming through Bluetooth or USB, it’s got everything you need for casual listening. It’s not aimed at audiophiles, and that’s perfectly fine. Sometimes, all we want is something simple that works, and this hits the mark. Definitely recommend it, especially as a gift for someone who still loves physical media and uncomplicated tech.

Small size and very lightweight unit which is easy to move around. Controls are easy to use. Display is small but easy to read. I was a disappointed with the sound quality as I was expecting better with today's small units that produce amazing sound. This unit sounds ok, but the sounds is lower quality with not much bass. Doesn't seem to pick up radio stations very well especially indoors.

This radio is awesome! it functions perfectly and is great quality. it came in the right color and the volume goes up to a deafening 20. indoors i keep the volume between 3 and 5, and outdoors i keep it around 8 to 10. anything over 12 is deafening. i love it!!!! it looks so cute and is a great size. the plugging in cord is nice and long.
