I’m not big on giving reviews but had to give a review because I have searched for two years for a product that would work for my extremely thick-haired very large dog THESE glided through his hair like butter! The ONLY clippers I’ve ever used that did this well! Unbelievable!! Noise level is medium.. but for the ease, speed, & relief from this extreme hot weather he now has, the noise was a small trade off! I work hard for my money & you better believe if a product doesn’t suit me I’m sending it right back - this purchase was the Best money I’ve ever spent! These are heavy duty-not cheaply made! Battery life is okay the machine is very heavy so you get tired fast by holding it for long period of time it does cut hair pretty good regardless to the length however it can cut the pet very easily also the noise level are very high and will scare your pet it is expensive when you have great alternatives out there. Also, the machine gets very hot so, you need to be careful.

I had one pony that I needed to body clip. And do a trace clip on a donkey. I have been in the horse world professionally for over 50 years. Always used Oster at the show barn and at home. I have a Clipmaster and every year even if it got put away perfectly it would need new blades and a tune up. The guy that fixes them around here is an hour away. Sooo looked on Amazon and read reviews and thought for 100 dollars I’m going to take a chance. This clipper did a great job. Yes it blows a lot of hair around but I think every clippers does. Used a lot off cool Lube and oil but that is true of every clipper. It would have cost me more than that to take them in get repaired and just the time there and back. It comes in a nice hard sided case with oil a brush and two extra blades. One is for shearing So I am thrilled with this clipper and hope it stays the same until next time.

It said it could be used on large dogs. I have a 100 lb dog and this was too big and too heavy to use.It did not go thru his thick undercoat very well at all.I returned the item.Im sure it would probsbly work well on horses

It bogs down quickly & I have to oil the blades every minute or so. Then disassemble & clean every 40 minutes or so. I have a 75 pound poodle & a very furry 45 pound Aussie & it takes the better part of a day to shave down each dog. Approx. 6 hours. I used to do the same job in 2hrs. with my 35 yr. old Oster grooming clippers, but they finally died. I wish I could replace them with the same model. (they no longer make it.)
