This is the best toaster around and win-win it’s chic and matte and black !! Love this so much, truth be told had to buy it twice.

update: on second thought, while it looks nice (to those that like this style), it feels like it's built as cheaply, as it's the thinnest stamped sheet metal and has no heft to it like other common brand toasters I've owned. (this feels flimsier than the Walmart brand one I had in the past). while it "feels" cheap, that doesn't mean it isn't built well. it might go the distance. but it feels unnaturally light for the cost (hair over $240 after tax) and considering it's a "premium" toaster. more importantly, I should mention that this toaster toasts very evenly for normal sized sliced bread, but is terrible when the bread is thick. I had a kitchen aide before this that could do premium hotdog buns. I say premium, because premium bread is almost always thicker. in this toaster, thicker bread burns on one side really badly. even turned down it burns. if I go low enough not to burn it, the rest of the bread is completely unheated. if you like toasting thick slices or premium buns, this toaster probably isn't a good choice. I don't know why nobody seems to be able to make a good all around toaster. my original review below: it looks nice but it feels cheap in the hand, but the important part is the performance, and it gets that right. it has been very consistent with toasting, which is something that it feels like most toaster fail with. if this were say, 30-40% cheaper, i would give it 5 stars, but it doesn't feel any better built than the cheapo from walmart ... show more
