  • Love this little oven
Style: 10-in-1
I went Carnivore some time ago and this little over is the BEST thing I have ever purchased. It does EVERYTHING. The menu is on the handle of the oven which I think is brilliant. It has very simple buttons that allow you to scroll through temp, time, and how you want to cook, bake, airfry, dehydrate, toast, etc...The light lights the entire over and stays on for a good long time making it nice if you are baking something you want to keep an eye on. It cooks FAST-often takes less time than various food packages state for airfryers/ovens. I have not had anything burn yet-and if you are a fan of making homemade hotwings or drumsticks, this little oven is great for that. It is big-but big in a compact good way. There is a lot of space inside this oven and it comes with two racks, a fryer basket, pan/roasting tray-I don't use the non stick pans it came with as I don't trust non-stick coating in general and I purchased other pans on amazon to use with it. There are some great stainless steel pans and pizza pans available that work just fine, like Deedro 12x10x1 baking sheets w/racks and Deedro 10 inch pizza pans. I have used a standard loaf pan, 8x10 pan, and a 9x13 pan inside it just fine. The menu on the handle tells you which level to cook on based on your selections and inside the oven on the right, the level numbers are impressed in the metal for reference. I DO recommend you clean it as you use it-don't let anything build up. Also, make sure you have enough counter space with a bit of a gap in the back, as this oven vents from behind. I have not used the included meat/temp probe yet, but have had great results all around. Love it. ... show more

  • This oven saved Thanksgiving and Christmas! I LOVE IT!
Style: 10-in-1
My gas oven stopped working right at the beginning of the 2025 holidays. I panicked because the holidays were so close, and instead of spending time searching for another oven, I needed to start cooking right away. So I purchased this Ninja DT251 Foodi 10-in-1 Smart XL Air Fry Oven. It is the perfect oven and it cooks absolutely everything, and I don't even need to look for anything else. It fits perfectly on my kitchen counter. It's easy to use, looks beautiful, and it has absolutely replaced my conventional gas oven. If you buy this oven, you will not need anything else! • 2-1/2 years in, and it's still working wonderfully
Style: 10-in-1
I have now had this for 2 and a half years. I use it regularly, it is what I have been using for all my baking, toasting, air frying, and pizza needs. I won't claim that it always performs perfectly as everything needs occasional tweaking when cooking, but so far all labeling has remained in tact, and it does a good job of cooking whatever I put in it. I love that it heats up quickly, then starts the cook timer, which means i can just toss in whatever, set it, and let it do it's thing, meaning that for a lot of cooking, I never have to worry about dealing with a hot oven, and it turns itself off after cooling a bit, which adds to the safety if like me you are often in another room, and sometimes distracted well past the end of cooking. I found it easy to get used to button placement so that I can operate it with the kitchen lights off. There are a number of functions I haven't used yet, and I haven't needed all the accessories that came with it, but they are great to have available. Personally I use the 2 racks, the basket, and one of the baking sheets it came with regularly. If anything I would get a second basket as I tend to use that the most. I have probably used this just as much as my microwave since I got it, it gives that properly cooked flavor you just don't get from nuking something. For the pizza setting, I recommend either collecting your pizza as soon as it's done, or reducing the cooking time, as I find it will burn the top of the pizza if I don't get to it before it self powers off. This is a heavy power draw appliance, it uses most of a 120v 15 amp circuit on its own when cooking. Please keep this in mind. I also have a 1250 watt microwave on the same circuit, I can't use both at the same time, I get around this by starting the oven, then set a timer on the microwave for how long the oven needs to cook plus some variation compensation, followed by the cooking settings for the microwave. This allows me to set both up, and then just collect everything when it's all done! ... show more

  • Just perfect, beautifully designed and economical
Style: 10-in-1
I am not a domestic goddess and I don't write a lot of reviews but I had to write one for the Ninja air feuer toaster oven. I totally love it and it has transformed.what I can do in the kitchen!! After hours (probably days) of checking different air fryer toaster ovens and readond 100s of reciews I ordered the ninja dt251 (and grateful.it was on special). I was terrified it would be complicated and I would not be able to operate it, but it came with great instructions, even each box is well labeled and it is very easy. It is so much prettier than I expected and it fits well on our countertop, actually taking up less width than our larg microwave. There is a good 4" clearance under the top cabinets and it does not radiate a lot of heat, yes it is warm to touch while it is going but I am not worried anyone will get burnt on it. I did wash everything and do the preheat as recommended and have used it three times now, for fries, a Bundt cake (my first cake in years!!, it was not a big mixture as I was worried it might do something wierd like overflow out of the pan, but I could have doubled the mixture) And dry roasting (on air fryer mode) cashews. All came out evenly cooked and Jimmy. I love love this, after living with an old gas oven (that was literally taped together but we didn't realize when we bought the house) and it uses heaps of gas (expensive!) And it gives off a lot of heat. Since we are in the throws of other major house repairs we have not even considered a new oven due to the cost, but the Ninja 10 in 1 is a lot less than having a new oven I stalled and I can cook everything we used to enjoy plus more. So glad I was looking at toaster ovens and found tthis, the degree of thought and design in these is so clear, even the nice little feet they have that won't scratch your bench. Beautiful, if you are considering this, I would encourage you to!! ... show more

  • Preheat is only a warm-up and you CAN bake WITHOUT the fan
Style: 10-in-1
Preheat function, rack positions, baking without convection (yes you can), etc 1...the FIRST thing you should do is line the crumb tray with foil or a silicone oven liner to make clean-up easier. I cut down a larger sheet of oven liner to fit and weighted it down with a couple of old butter knives that will now live there for the life of the oven. 2...clean it after each use. This could mean a quick wipe-down OR a "roll up your sleeves and get in there!" kind of clean. In other words, don't leave anything to get baked on the NEXT time you use the oven! The space in which you're cooking is small and those splatters don't have very far to go to hit the walls, bottom, and the top of the inside and, when baked on by repeated use, can turn out to be a PAIN to clean!!! 3...understand that this Ninja's "Preheat" function is NOT a true preheat, but more of a "knock the chill off the oven" function. To preheat prior to baking, place the grate in your desired position (see#4), add an additional 10 - 15 minutes to the time, and slap a good oven thermometer on the grate...when it hits the temp, allow an additional 3 - 5 minutes for the temp to stabilize, remove it, adjust your time, and get to cooking. 4...suggested rack positions are simply that...suggestions. For example, the suggested rack position for "bake" is #3, and that might be fine if you're baking a tray of cookies or something that's no thicker than a sheet pan, but if you're baking sandwich bread in a loaf pan or anything with a lot of height, the top will brown FAR too quickly as it's VERY close the the top elements. Drop the rack to #4 (bottom-most position) for a sandwich bread that will rise well above the pan...#3 is best for something with little-to-no spring like a lot of "quick breads". Either way, place the loaf pan in the middle of the rack so that the bottom elements are not directly underneath the pan and have a piece of foil ready to tent the top of the loaf once it's the shade of brown you're looking for. 5...speaking of "baking", as I don't use convection when I bake ("bake", as in breads/cookies, etc), not having the ability to disengage the fan almost stopped me from buying this unit, but I decided to go ahead and give it a shot anyway (I'm old, but not too old to adapt and change!). Fortunately, you CAN bake without having to use the fan...use the "Reheat" function (no fan!) as the time/temp adjusts the same as the bake function. I baked a 4x4x13 loaf using the reheat function and it came out perfectly by rotating once halfway through the bake and tenting the top once it got as brown as I wanted. Bottom line, consider WHAT it is you're baking and WHERE it needs to be placed in the oven for optimal, even heat distribution REGARDLESS of whether you use the fan or not. Keep an eye on it and adjust accordingly. 6...I don't air-fry often, so keep that in mind here (wink). I AF'd country-fried frozen beef patties, beer-battered frozen fish filets, and onion rings with no issues. What I've found is a great use for this AF (so far) is reheating/reCRISPING breaded leftovers and cold pizza (it does an EXCELLENT job on those!). As for pizza, I haven't tried cooking a hand-made pizza in it yet (never cared for frozen pizza), but it's on my list. I ordered a 10" cast iron comal to use as a "pizza stone" (cooking for one here) and it just arrived yesterday, so that's gonna happen this weekend. Anyway, so far, so good. I hope this long and rather wordy review/tips helps. I'm not sure if I can "update" a review at a later date, but if I can, I'll do so. Now crank that puppy up and get to cooking! :) UPDATE - after 6 months of use it's still cooking great...VERY pleased with this oven! Had to grab a "handle-less" CI skillet so I could make my cornbread (it's a southern thing!) and I haven't gotten around to baking a homemade pizza yet, but I HAVE "embraced" using convection...LOL! ... show more

  • Broiling is Awesome
Style: 10-in-1
Never thought I'd say I'm in love with an oven. As someone who has used countertop ovens nearly their entire life, I was blown away by how awesome this oven is. It's strong, durable and fast heating. It can hold at least 24 full sized cupcakes if using both wire racks. If you're upgrading from a weaker smaller countertop oven, be wary of using parchments in this oven, especially sandwich wrappers you get from fast food places. Those wrappers are huge fire hazards. All of the cooking settings on this oven are great. I especially like the broil. It only takes meats like chicken breasts 5 minutes to go from raw to cooked. It also crisps sausages, ham and even ground meats. No skillet I've seen can get hot enough to cook a pound of ground meat in 5 minutes. The thermometer is also really handy, especially for thicker meats. The holder is magnetic, so you don't ever have to wonder where the thermometer is when you need it. It's oven safe and reads the temperature of your roasts while you're cooking, eliminating all guess work. The bake setting cooks cupcakes perfectly. The vast capabilities of this oven have encouraged me to get back into cooking. It cooks fast; I'll have a way to preserve my own fresh herbs or even get into jerky-making; you can cook roasts and the vegetables at the same time. Only downsides I can currently see is that while most of the oven is easy to clean, the fan is a potential problem. If anything goes past the fan grate, there doesn't seem to be a way to clean it. This oven is a huge upgrade to what I had and I look forward to seeing what all I can do with it. ... show more

  • Product well done!
Style: 10-in-1
Received our Ninja Foodi DT251 a week ago. Started simple reheating Chinese leftovers. Much better than microwave that leaves things mushy or dried out, depending on the food. Toast function worked perfectly. During setup for toasting, you specify the number of slices and desired doneness. Next simultaneously air fried crab cakes and cauliflower florets (14 minutes at 370). Perfect browning with no burning as would happen with our dedicated (and now retired) air fryer. Simultaneous air fry of meat loaf squares and carrots also came out perfect with no burnt edges. We have started with the time/temperature we used for our previous air fryer and only had to make small adjustments (slightly longer times). In preparation for whole roasting Thanksgiving turkey, we roasted a whole 5 lb. chicken using the supplied meat thermometer. We used Manual mode so we could control the cooking temperature. The temperature sensor controls provide readouts of current meat temperature, target temperature, elapsed cooking time, and cooking temperature. We started with the settings from the supplied cookbook for roasting a whole chicken, which were 55 minutes at 375 oven temperature with target meat temperature of 165. Since the temperature will continue to rise during the 15 minute resting time, we set the target temperature to 160 instead of 165. The actual time to reach 160 was 58 minutes for 5 lb. chicken. Using a standard meat thermometer the internal temperature rose to 172 during the resting time, so next time we will set the target temperature to 155. The chicken was perfectly done and perfectly browned. Prior to purchase we noted several reviews indicating lettering coming off during use or cleaning. To alleviate this from happening, we use a Q-tip to adjust the controls. Another thing we saw mentioned in reviews was difficult clean-up, especially the roasting tray. We found that soaking for a couple hours in warm water and dishwashing liquid did the trip, allowing easy removal of the baked on drippings from the chicken using a soft sponge. Use of parchment paper on the pan below the roasting tray made the clean-up on the pan a snap. ... show more

  • This is the best air fryer I have owned so far
Style: 10-in-1
This air fryer is amazing! I have used it to air fry, bake, broil and roast. I cooked a prime rib roast to absolute perfection! The temperature probe feature works great. It is so very simple to choose your program and it even tells you what level to put your tray(s) on. To address others complaints: pre-heating- it does indeed need more time to get to the proper oven temp when baking. It beeps that it is preheated way before it actually is, but guess what- my regular oven takes over 10 minutes to get to temp. Get yourself an oven thermometer and put your food in when it gets to the temp you want. Hard to clean- not really. The glass cleans up very well as does the sides. I will say, the back is more difficult but no big deal. The positive sides of this air fryer make it a wise choice. My previous air fryer was a Kalorik. Biggest piece of junk ever! This air fryer is very roomy. You can put a full size lasagna pan in it (as long as it doesn't have handles-I bought a great one on amazon) It bakes a tray of cookies nicely. Over all, I am very glad I bought this and that I overlooked a few of the negative comments! ... show more
