I thought the whole air fryer thing was just a silly meme for a long time, but consider me a convert. This thing has made baking my large batches of chicken breast significantly easier, and with far less oil, in half the time. I also use it to roast carrots, make toasted sandwiches, and bake pastries! What I've come to recognize is that I hardly ever need the full capacity of my conventional oven, so all that time spent preheating it is a total waste, when this one preheats in a mere 2 minutes. The product itself is very reliable, distributes heat evenly, and is very easy to use. The manual explains pretty much everything I would want to know, and the interface is also very convenient. My only words of warning to folks who haven't used air fryers before is that you really should try to make sure it is plugged on its own dedicated circuit, because it does draw a lot of electricity! If you have multiple things running on the same circuit, you run the risk of tripping the breaker. The other thing is to be mindful of where you place your food when baking in two trays. It comes with two normal trays, a drip tray, and a basket. If using two trays to air fry, say, chicken and carrots at the same time, the one at the top will likely have much more moisture accumulate on it than the one at the bottom. For situations like that, use the basket instead so that the moisture isn't trapped at the top, and airflow is uninterrupted. This is not a fault of the product, it's just how moisture works. We’re only about a week in of using our new Ninja. So far we’re very happy with the overall performance. The controls are easy to figure out and use. The Ninja preheats super fast, cooks very evenly, and the convection is slightly faster than our regular electric oven. We purchased a bamboo cutting board that sits on top of the Ninja. It has heat resistant feet and allows hot air to circulate out and is a very handy place to set a pan on coming out of the oven or keeping the instructions and a pair of mitts right with the oven. Good oven mitts are a must! The oven gets very hot. Fingered mitts are my next purchase. As other reviewers mentioned it is a bit noisy because of the fan but not a big deal. The crumb tray on the bottom catches crumbs, liquid spills, etc. slides out easily for cleaning. Definitely wipe the interior down after each use or two after it cools down. Overall we are extremely happy. I will post a follow up review when I’ve used more of the functions. ... show more

I am not a domestic goddess and I don't write a lot of reviews but I had to write one for the Ninja air feuer toaster oven. I totally love it and it has transformed.what I can do in the kitchen!! After hours (probably days) of checking different air fryer toaster ovens and readond 100s of reciews I ordered the ninja dt251 (and grateful.it was on special). I was terrified it would be complicated and I would not be able to operate it, but it came with great instructions, even each box is well labeled and it is very easy. It is so much prettier than I expected and it fits well on our countertop, actually taking up less width than our larg microwave. There is a good 4" clearance under the top cabinets and it does not radiate a lot of heat, yes it is warm to touch while it is going but I am not worried anyone will get burnt on it. I did wash everything and do the preheat as recommended and have used it three times now, for fries, a Bundt cake (my first cake in years!!, it was not a big mixture as I was worried it might do something wierd like overflow out of the pan, but I could have doubled the mixture) And dry roasting (on air fryer mode) cashews. All came out evenly cooked and Jimmy. I love love this, after living with an old gas oven (that was literally taped together but we didn't realize when we bought the house) and it uses heaps of gas (expensive!) And it gives off a lot of heat. Since we are in the throws of other major house repairs we have not even considered a new oven due to the cost, but the Ninja 10 in 1 is a lot less than having a new oven I stalled and I can cook everything we used to enjoy plus more. So glad I was looking at toaster ovens and found tthis, the degree of thought and design in these is so clear, even the nice little feet they have that won't scratch your bench. We bought this on reading its reviews to replace a Brevelle oven we had for a few years. It toasts bread as it should, air frys wonderfully and bakes as it should. The capacity is just right and Its controls are easy to use. The digital display is clear and easy to read, even from far away. As some said it can be noisy, especially when air frying but it's comparable to how the Brevelle sounded. One thing to note is the inside is steel and cleaning can be a bit difficult as I think just about every oven like this is. I wish it had a self cleaning mode.
