Instructions were somewhat difficult to follow, even for an experienced installer. Quality it good but if you get this as a kit, you may want to clamp the door hardware on the door first. We followed the instructions and the door didn't quite touch the edges of the opening and didn't line up in the middle, so the pattern was off as well. We had to move the hardware on one door so there was no opening, this having to drill a second time and now need to fill the first holes. Also, you may need to install the bumpers past the end mounting bolts, put those on first before mounting the the wall. The door rolls smoothly on the tracks and looks like it is very durable. Time will tell.

The product works very well. I ordered 2 of these a 4 ft and a 5.5 ft. Unfortunately the 5.5 was damaged in shipping and had to be returned. Like the title says there is a fairly big gap (4"-5") on the side with the outside bypass door. I was worried about keeping pets out of the closet. To get around this I purchased a large piece of wood trim 6'8" long and 8" wide and put it in the door frame of the closet. Then I stained it the same color as my doors. It worked pretty well. The 5.5 I was planning on using on a closet that is in a corner. In that situation you could put the gap against the wall amd be fine.

There was a mistake in the directions as to the space between the bolts that go through the door, so make sure you measure. The doors I used are 48"x96", larger than recommended, but the hardware is sturdy.

Pro: relatively easy to install, solid hardware, good design Con: instructions down to 1/16" measurement are tedious and difficult to execute. I'm a handy guy so no stranger to this type of work: I used the 6.5' rail for a 70" opening w/2.5" molding. I used 2 40" wide doors. I measured everything multiple times ensure the result would be as desired. The only 'failure'...the H+1 11/16" for center line of the rail bolts. After all was said and done, the doors just barely drag on the floor (like from weight) but in no way are the 3/8" off the floor. So obviously no way to install the Floor Guide. Other than that...a good set of hardware.

Product and images show bypass sliding door system, however, with a single track the doors will only slide so far as till the one door roller hits the adjacent roller of the other door, thus limiting the door or closet open space. Yes, the doors bypass but only a limited amount. Second, the bold roller bracket is on the inside of one of the doors... this makes no sense as you would expect to see the decorative bracket on the outside. If this fits your look and function, then fine but I would not buy again. Recommend for bypass doors to have a two-track system.

This seems like a good product; I'm looking forward to when I get the larger size to know for sure. But I wanted to mention: the product has pre-drilled holes in the bar that you attach to the wall, every 16 inches. They recommend installing a "header board" but if you don't want to, or don't have the space for one, you'll need to match the pre-drilled holes with your studs in the wall. This may mean you need extra length on one side, but not on the other side. So get extra space for the overlap, but also assume holes every 16 inches, and figure that into your sizing plan. I originally ordered 6', but I reordered 8'. The cool little stoppers that attach to the ends of the bar can cover up up a metal cut if you want to cut the bar down on one side after you've installed it in the perfect spot. Also worth noting, my 6' bar came in 2 pieces that attach in the middle.
