Our Masonite barn door came with a plastic door guide and it never worked very well. The door would regularly jump out of the guide. This guide is very sturdy and it came two-inch screws the longer screws go through the baseboard into the stud for a snug fit.

The product might have been sturdy, but it won’t work for my door. I thought I ordered what the contractor described but I didn’t. It took almost a month to get him back to install and then he told me it was the wrong kind. I pulled up my order to exchange it for the one that costs twice as much only to find that my window of time to return it was 30 days and it was over by 2 days. It simply said item may be returned or exchanged on the ad (of course I suppose the number of days was in the fine print) but I’ve been buying things on Amazon for years and never ran into this before- especially for an exchange. They stood to make more money from me if I could have exchanged, especially as a prime member, but I will get the new one somewhere else because this seems unfair.

I purchased these for my sons house he had a sliding barn door on his pantry and when you opened it there was no track after it was opened so you always had to feed it back in the one that came with the house. Only draw back is it was not wide enough for his door, he had to modify it.
