I’ve used a full-size BaByliss hair dryer at home for years, so when I needed a new compact dryer for travel, I was happy to find a smaller option from a brand I already know and trust. My full-size BaByliss has proven to be extremely durable over years of use, and this travel dryer has lived up to my expectations as well. Great Small Blow Dryer

My expensive, full-size blow dryer died and had to be replaced under warranty. I could not go without a blow dryer during that wait for a replacement, and while I usually use the hotel blow dryer when I travel there are times I want to have my own travel dryer, so I ordered this one. I am going to be honest: I did not want to like it when I got it. I thought this is tiny, it looks like a toy - what is this, a blow dryer for ants? But I gave it a shot, and here are my thoughts: The unit is very compact. I thought this is going to take longer than using my full size! And it did...a little bit I guess. It took me maybe one or two minutes more than usual. Definitely not bad. It appears to have just one heat setting - on - but 2 fan speeds. For me the temperature was maybe just a hair north of just right, but definitely well within the range I would consider to be the right temp. Because it is smaller it cannot push as much air or cover as much spread as a full size, so you end up having to move it back and forth more frequently; however that did not bother me as it is sooo small and soo light you almost don't even notice it. I used it for two weeks and I liked it. I did go back to my full size when I got a replacement, but I will definitely be taking this on all my future trips. It is so small and light I can justify it in order to not have to deal with hotel blow dryers again. There are only two cons that I had: One is that the nozzle doesn't stay on the best. It didn't fall off during normal use, but if you hit it on anything even lightly it just falls off. They should have put a retaining ring or something on it, it is just a friction fit with little rubber pads inside the nozzle, but they don't work well. The second downside is that it doesn't come with a bag - which for a travel product I think it should. If you are someone that likes a lot of buttons and features and settings this may not be for you, but if you just want a blow dryer that works and it small this is perfect. In fact if you were going to go for a full size blow dryer at a comparable price I would say just get this one. I also think besides travel this would be a great blow dryer for a child that wants to get into blow drying their own hair or anyone that has a disability or mobility/stamina issues and would have trouble holding a heavy, full-size blow dryer above their head for a long time. So yes, I would recommend this blow dryer, and I am glad I bought it.

Excellent quality, but nozzle does not stay on

Okay, I’m really not a complainer, so I’ll start with the positives. This dryer is the perfect size, and BaBylissPRO has been a favorite of mine for over a decade. For a travel dryer, it’s impressively powerful—comparable to a full-sized one. My hair dried so quickly. Remember, it's a travel dryer and they usually are not powerful. THIS one is. My only issue is the nozzle. After just a few uses, it becomes too loose and won’t stay attached. I wish it was designed to stay on permanently. My full-sized BaByliss dryer's nozzle never comes off. The company did replace it for me, which I appreciated, but the same issue happened with the second dryer. It seems like a consistent defect.

Tiny dryer with plenty of power travels with me everywhere

When I travel overnight, I always like to take my hair dryer. Often, either the people I am visiting don't have a spare dryer handy, or at a hotel, the dryer can look grungy. In both cases, I like to be prepared. But very light and very small are necessary, especially when you travel with only what fits under your airplane seat! It can be challenging to figure out which are the lightest dryers that are effective and not too expensive... I spent quite a while researching that question! I also wanted dual voltage so that it could travel internationally with only a small plug adapter. This little dryer does everything I need. It is "true" dual voltage, giving you both hi and lo settings when you turn it to 250V, while many others only give you one (very few actually advertise this limitation when they claim dual voltage). It dries my hair quickly and comes with a diffuser (not pictured). It even allows you to clean the rear filter by removing the plastic screen on the back. It weighs only 310 g or 10.95 oz on my kitchen scale, including the cord but not the diffuser, and fits into any cosmetics case that is about 15 x 24 cm or 6 x 9+ in. (It does not include a case.) The longest dimension is under 9 in., including the cord "strain relief." While these measurements are unofficial and home-grown, they are realistic. The weight and size of hairdryers in postings doesn't always include the permanently attached cord, so these may be helpful! A slight drawback is that there is no cool air setting or "cool shot," just hi and lo. The dryer works quickly to dry my hair. While I may start on Hi, I soon find it too warm and switch to Lo. If you have extremely long or thick hair, you may have a different experience or need something more powerful. But this dryer is by no means weak! Being tiny means I take it everywhere, even when I am traveling only with an underseat bag or knapsack, not even a carry-on. So I am really happy to have bought it and certainly recommend it for travel.

Small, but works well for me

Just received this & love it. It’s small & lightweight, but mighty. I read a few reviews that felt it would not dry so fast. I have medium length, fine hair which is probably why it works well for me. I previously had a “semi-pro” dryer that was large & heavy, with a thick long cord. It’s nice to have a good compact dryer.

Perfect for travel: tiny, light weight, & doesn't need a converter

Summary: Small, perfect for travel, works with a 100-150V 10A adapter (didn't need a converter) This works so well for traveling. I guess I didn't pay much attention to the size because it's adorably, comically small. However, it's size ensures it easily fits in any bag. I used it in the USA, Denmark, and Norway (about to bring it to Austria & Slovakia). As long as you switch the voltage, you should be good. I used one of the prongs on the cord to switch the voltage, but a flathead screwdriver would also do the trick. I appreciate that there's not a button for changing the voltage because that could be accidentally pressed. This way seems more safe to me. Since the blowdryer runs on 1000W, I was able to use my 100-250V 10A adapter instead of getting a converter. I am really impressed with this tiny travel blowdryer. It might have taken a little bit longer to dry my hair, but to me, it's worth it for the size and ability to use it with an adapter instead of a converter. This saved me so much money and space since I didn't need a converter. My mother in law had a blow-dryer brush, but she chose to borrow this travel blow dryer on our last family trip instead. Its volume is similar to most standard blow dryers. It only has high and low settings rather than including warm and hot, but for the price I think it's perfect for traveling. It's also so incredibly light which means my bag isn't heavy and my arm doesn't get as tired while drying my hair.

Small but mighty

I have another BabyLiss that I purchased in France a couple of year ago during a rush family trip that, unfortunately, won't work in Australia. I must say that I am impressed with BabyLiss products.
