What made us decide on this one was that it was all inclusive with the gateway and the reviews we read about their customer service. Right after I purchased, we received an email from the seller with pictures and videos to help with the install. Setting it up was fairly easy and the instructions were pretty clear to follow. So, once we had it installed we had a small issue (of course it wasn’t the locks fault but ours). I reached out to their customer service and we worked with Eunice. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Really responsive to our questions and needs. We even did a video call to test our lock and resolve the issue. Now that we have it working properly we have had no issues whatsoever. We love the app, which is super user friendly. Keys work, works great with Alexa through the gateway, the little fobs are fantastic. Setting up fingerprints and codes is really easy through the app. The app also provides a log feature and you’re able to get all or some notifications. Overall excellent purchase! Don’t hesitate to purchase this smart lock!

I would have provided a 5-star review had I not encountered a critical failure in the door handle latching mechanism within 2 weeks of installation. The pin that rotates the door latch mechanism spontaneously snapped off when my daughter attempted to enter the house, making the door completely inoperable from the exterior. Not wanting to fully dissemble the recently installed door kit and go through the Amazon return process, I decided to leave the deadbolt key-pad in place (for which I am very happy with), and spend the $100 to purchase a separate handle from Home Depot so that I could operate the door. I had my concerns about the quality of this product based on my unfamiliarity of the manufacturer before I purchased the set. Should have listened to my instincts

I honestly had never heard of this brand before but after trying the common brand names and finding out that this are very flaky, expensive, and run through batteries like they were free, and also stop working often, I decided to try this one. It worked great out of the box. Setup was very straight forward. The app is very easy to use and manage. My lock did so working after a few months, but the customer service is outstanding. Even had a video call with them. Great troubleshooting and they stand behind their product. Replaced it without having to jump through hoops. Thanks to Eunice with their customer service center, I am still a happy customer.

★☆☆☆☆ - Unsafe, Unreliable, and Not Worth the Money Do not buy the Hornbill Smart WiFi Front Door Lock. It looked great when first installed, but that’s where the positives ended. From the start, the experience was frustrating—the app is clunky and difficult to use, the control options are limited, and the voice assistant is not helpful. The smart lock feature completely failed after just three months, turning it into nothing more than an expensive traditional key lock. Then it got worse. A few months later, the mechanical lock and levers failed, leaving my family trapped inside our own home. We had to dismantle the lock just to escape. This lock is not just unreliable—it’s a safety hazard. Don’t waste your money or risk your security. Look elsewhere.

I have been looking for a smart lock that didn’t stand out . I found it !! Love how it looks while offering keyless entry ! My boyfriend installed it today and we were so pleased with how easy it was to set up finger print access and codes . We hand a little bit of difficulty setting up the app on his phone so we called customer service . Tara from customer service got back to us in a timely manner . She took the time to FaceTime us and guide us through the steps to get the app working . She was patient , knowledgeable and was happy to assist . Fantastic customer service !!

This lock has been very easy to install and set up. I was confused about which app to use. I contacted Hornbill Customer support and spoke with Sam. He walked me through the process and made sure I was completely taken care of!! Highly recommend this product! And this company!
