We were originally going to go with the Very Well-Known Name Brand but decided to try this product first based on the significant price difference, and I’m very happy we did. The battery lasts longer than expected, the motion detection and human detection works really well, it’s relatively easy to use, and has good quality video/audio. The sensitivity of the motion detection can be adjusted which is really helpful. If you want to view or save the captured videos you have to pay for the subscription plan, but it’s only about $27 a month for 30 days of unlimited storage so it’s not too pricey. I bought 3 of these. *************** 2nd EDIT: I'm amending my earlier 2-star review to make it 1-star. This is my first 1-star review in a long, long time. When you go to look at your camera on your phone, it shows an ad for several seconds before you can skip it. THIS IS BAD. When I want to look at my camera, I want to look at my camera NOW. The ad is just a money grab. But now it's WORSE. Now that ad is a loud ad for an kinky AI companion or something? Honestly I'm not sure. I shut t off immediately. I want to look at my doorbell camera, I **don't** want to have some stupid blaring embarrassing ad. It makes the product pretty much unusable. I am going to have to find something else. (No, I am not paying $25-$30 PER MONTH per doorbell camera to save video. I don't WANT to save video, I just want to be able to see out... and with these blaring, gross ads, I can't even do that, now.) ******************* Pros * Easy to set up, including the plugged-in chime * Inexpensive Cons * To capture or review video, it costs $30/year per camera. (Not worth it, in my case.) * Having motion detection on, or using the camera constantly, runs the battery down rapidly. * EDIT: As of January 2025, the phone app, which is the only way to access the doorbells, **NOW RUNS ADS**. There is absolutely no reason for this: the app is free-standing, they don't need to do anything to support it on an ongoing basis. It's just a naked money-grab. And you've got to wait for the ad to load, then click on a tiny "Continue to app >" at the top of your phone. I lowered my review from 3 stars to 2 stars. As a normal doorbell camera -- no motion detector, mainly used as a doorbell, just the occasional quick check of the camera -- this lasts for a month or two between charges. I waited until I used this for two weeks to get an idea of how well this works. I'm so happy I've found this and didn't plunk down $100 for the better-known brand. Install the app on your phone and you and others in the house have access to all footage, even away from home. I was worried the phone had to be connected to the same wifi while in use, therefore wouldn't work when out of the house, but this is not the case. Works with SPCTRM wifi, turns out when you have 5hz there is also 2.4 (dual band wifi) It has anytime live feed, and a push button intercom. Very pleased with this purchase. It does take 10 hours to charge out of the box for 1st use and the free 30 day trial requires you to buy a $30 a year subscription on Google Play to see any footage, they just hold the payment for 30 days in case you cancel before that. Great price and great value, I'd recommend this to everyone! ... show more
