There is a lot involved in installing this particular device. The physical spaces need to be pretty precise for it to work right. It also took a long time getting the software to work right, but once I did, I was very pleased with the way it worked at first. The keyless entry using the fingerprint sensor, the keypad, or the fob worked without a problem. Over time it has become problematic and it comes back with errors on using the fingerprint sensor or the secret number on the keypad. If there are more than four errors, it stops responding and you have to use the physical key. App and voice control will not work without the bluetooth bridge. After power outages, this connection fails and the bluetooth bridge has to be restarted to restore the connection to your network. Another problem is that it relies on battery power. At the rate that the batteries are being are running down powering the device, the will have to replaced or recharged often. It is a device with a lot of really cool features, but it is too quirky for me to enthusiastically recommend it to the average person. ... show more

Very nice package. Fit existing holes in my door. Had to drill the deadbolt hole deeper to make it work it's longer than the old one The hub works great for wifi remote connection. I have a Kwikset Halo smart lock on my back door and wanted to put a smart lock on my garage door also. This lock was much cheaper so I figured I would give it ago. Didn’t even last 24 hours before I decided I hated it and ordered another Kwikset smart lock instead. I had not yet set up the finger print feature so can’t speak on that but the keypad worked fine. You need to connect it to a hub for it to work with Alexa. It does come with this cheap feeling little plastic hub with a usb plug. I had issues connecting it to WiFi. I had to run out for an appointment so I figured I would just figure it out tomorrow. Well later I was in the house and couldn’t remember if I locked the backdoor and since the hub was not working I couldn’t use Alexa I opened the Smart Life app to check. I kept pressing the button to connect to the lock so I could check if it was locked. It would spin and nothing. I finally gave up went to check if it was locked then came back inside to put in a return request and ordered a new Kwikset smart lock. ... show more

I had to call customer service and she worked with me until we could get it connected to WiFi. She FaceTimed me back so she could see what I was talking about. After 45 minutes of seeing what worked and removing the lock from the app and reinstalling, it finally connected. The reason I gave a 5 star is because Vivian had excellent customer service. The lock was installed at our entrance and the batteries died for the 2 weeks we had it, and had to replace the batteries 2 times. Showing 100% strength when installed and within 3 days the batteries died and kept sending (around 25) error notifications to my phone. It has good features, but if you don’t want to replace the 4 AA batteries every week, this lock is not for you. ... show more
