I installed this smart lock in about 20 minutes with no need to modify my existing door. Setup was straightforward and hassle free. The lock feels solid and well made, and the fingerprint reader is fast and reliable. I really like the way it looks on the door. The keypad and functions are smooth and responsive, and the Bluetooth features work exactly as advertised. While I haven’t had it long enough to know about battery life, everything else has worked consistently. It feels just as secure as a traditional deadbolt, the physical keys work perfectly as a backup, and the auto-lock feature gives extra peace of mind. For the price, this is a great deal compared to bigger name brands. If it holds up over time, I’d absolutely recommend it and would buy it again myself. My only small gripe is that the lock sometimes takes a little longer than I’d like to “wake up” before unlocking, but it’s not a dealbreaker.     • Such promise, but a total dud.
I bought this as an alternative to spending $250 on the name-brand version. I checked the reviews and thought it was worth a try. When it arrived, it was extremely easy to install and worked right out of the box. I set up the code, and it worked fine. I tried to set up the fingerprint recognition, and although the app said it was OK, I was never able to get it to work. I wasn’t too worried about it as long as the keypad worked. Two days in, I was really pleased with myself. Then, when my wife tried to open the door, none of the lights lit up. I replaced the batteries, and it worked fine again. Until the next day, and nothing worked. The numbers did not light up, it didn’t respond, and the app wouldn’t open up the door either. Luckily, someone was in the house. I removed the back of the lock, adjusted the batteries slightly, and it started to work again. Now it only works if you remove and then reinsert the battery before you use it. This obviously does not help when nobody else is in the house. The autolock function doesn’t work either. I now have to buy the expensive name-brand one because we are worried we will be locked out of our house. In theory, this is a great product at a great price, but it’s totally unreliable. And, of course, when I went to return it, the product return window had gone. ... show more

So far we are enjoying the new smart deadbolt lock. Arrived on time, directions were pretty clear, and installation was fairly simple. As far as I can tell everything works as it should. Seems like a pretty well made product. Thinking of purchasing the separate wifi gateway just so that I don’t have to keep my bluetooth on, on my phone. (Can’t attest to the battery life just yet as we’ve only had it a couple of days but will definitely update review in a few weeks/months on what that is like.) (Update 4/12/23: had this rated at 5 stars but dropped it down to 4. For the most part lock works but it isn’t consistent with locking from the outside using the check mark on the keypad. Sometimes it does not automatically lock even though we have the auto lock option set up. It sometimes doesn’t recognize our finger prints as well but doesn’t happen often enough to be an issue. Batteries are still at 100% with daily use of the lock. If they can work out the kinks of locking from the keypad then it’ll be perfect) ... show more

EDIT after one year: I have found the lock works well with the IC card, however most of the other modes are a bit too finicky. The touch pad takes several attempts and the fingerprint pad rarely works. Also, when using the touchpad to lock from outside requires multiple attempts. Original review: Installation was straight forward. I replaced an existing keyed deadbolt with this smart lock on our guest house. Makes things much easier for providing access to guests. If you have ever installed a door lock you will have no problems. Programing access is intuitive and simple. Key cards are readily available here on Amazon. Fingerprint function has been hit or miss. When using the number pad you must touch the pad to wake it and then enter passcode which I find a bit quirky. I get false or delayed notifications on occasion. I did receive an update recently so we will see if it helps. All other functions work fine. I had a gateway from another source and this lock connected with no issues. I can lock and unlock the deadbolt from wifi with no issues. You must be within Bluetooth range to manage settings and to add access codes/cards. Bluetooth connection can be difficult as it does not connect consistently so you have to try numerous times. ... show more
